~Alex~
Loki's POV ~
They're gone. Some of the people in our escape pod just... vanished.
Heimdall and I sat with about three other Asgardians, the other four having disappeared before our very eyes.
Once people started disappearing, Heimdall tried contacting Liv, but to no avail, meaning she was more than likely gone, too. The both of us tried contacting Mother, but something was blocking us.
The was good news, however. You could see Earth when you looked out the window.

"Mother!" I shouted, looking around the field crowded with scared and confused Asgardians.
"Loki! Oh, my darling!" I turned to see the woman rushing over to me, Frig held tightly in her arms.
"What... where is Alex?" I asked as we embraced, looking around to try and find the familiar red hair of my wife.
"Mum, where is Alex?" I asked again when I got no answer.
"...I need you to put an illusion over yourself."
"What?"
"Before I say, I need you to put an illusion over yourself."
"Mother-"
"Now, Loki." She insisted, and only then did I realize the woman already had a strong illusion over herself. She hesitated once I put my illusion up, taking a deep breath before hesitantly looking up at me, readjusting Frig in her arms.
"Loki, love... Alex didn't make it. She was one of the ones who vanished."
"No... no, she, she couldn't have been-" I shook my head, going back to my search for flaming red hair.
"Loki, my son, listen to me. Look at me." Mother grabbed hold of my shoulder with her free hand. "Your wife felt what was taking her before anyone could see it, and begged me to take Frig from her arms. And then she disappeared, before my very eyes."
My body shook as I listened to her words, my knees giving out from under me, causing my body to fall to the grass below. To anyone else, though, it would look like Mother and I were having any normal conversation.
Not one about your wife dying.
"No... no, we were just about to have our lives back. Liv said she would take the throne, and we could live however we wanted... she can't be... she can't be gone."
"I'm so sorry, my love, but it's true. Now, our people need us right now. They are all scared and confused, with no home. We need someone to lead us."
"Why don't you?" I looked up to Mother, who was now kneeling in front of me.
"My days ruling are over dearheart. You need to be the one who leads them."
"Alex was supposed to be my queen..."
"And she forever shall be, but Asgard needs their king. We are royals. We do not have time to mourn our loved ones just yet, as much as we would like to."
I looked around at all the Asgardians scattered about, each looking as scared as their neighbor.
"Where are we?" I mumbled.
"Well, Alex is the one that put in coordinates in our ship, which connected to the others. I think she took us to Norway."
My shoulders lowered as understanding washed over me, looking at my daughter in my mother's arms.
"She took us to her home."
