~Alex~
I opened my eyes to see nothing around me. Frigga was gone, Frig was gone, Eir was gone, even the fucking ship was gone.
I turned my body as I continued to float threw space, my eyes landing on Sif and a few other Asgardians, all with wide and confused eyes. I motioned for everyone to get together, and all of us eventually floated in a circle, hand in hand. Closing my eyes, I concentrated hard on Asgard, using a big burst of energy to teleport everyone into the realm.
We all breathed heavily as our feet hit solid ground, surprised screams sounding around us as we appeared right in front of the palace.
"Sif..." I gasped, looking up at the warrior.
"Norns, Alex, what just happened?" She asked, pulling me into a crushing hug.
"I don't know." I shook my head, returning the gesture. "Gods, how long were we gone? Asgards... itself again."
"Somebody get the King and Princess!"
"Lady Sif and the Queen are back!"
"Where are the Warriors Three?"
Sif and I pulled away just as running footsteps sounded all around us. Sif looked behind me while I looked towards the palace stairs, my breath caught in my throat as I saw a familiar man rushing down them, a woman with gold hair and a child with red hair not far behind.
"Sif..."
"You go to yours, I'll go to mine."
I nodded in agreement as I bolted toward my husband, tears pouring from my eyes as I ran.
"Oh, my gods, Loki!" I cried, jumping into his arms as he spun us around, his hands holding my head and waist tightly.
"I can't believe it... you're back, you're here! Are you alright?" He pulled away, his eyes scanning my face and body as if he would see a new injury.
"I should be asking you that! What the hell happened? How long were we gone? What-" I was cut off by Loki pressing a searing kiss to my lips, my body instantly melting under his touch.
"You... are never allowed to leave my side again. Do you hear me?" He practically growled, his grip on me tightening.
"I think I'll be okay with that." I breathlessly nodded.
Someone cleared their throat beside us, and Loki and I's heads turned to look toward Frigga, who glanced down at the child clutching her blue dress.
"Mama?"
I cried out again, my knees growing weak as I held my arms open, the child running into my arms and securing a tight hold around my neck, the two of us falling to the ground.
"Å min kjære! Se hvor mye du har vokst, jeg kan ikke tro det! Jeg er så lei meg. Jeg beklager at jeg savnet så mye av livet ditt. Jeg lover at jeg aldri vil dra igjen." (Oh, my darling! Look at how much you've grown, I can't believe it! I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I missed so much of you're life. I promise I will never leave again.) I rambled, not even realizing I switched languages.
"Darling, calm a bit. She can't-"
"Det er greit, mamma! Jeg vet at du ikke ville." (It's okay, mama! I know you didn't want to.) Frig hugged me tighter, my eyes widening at her fluent Norwegian.
"When did you learn Norwegian, liten en?" (little one)
"While we lived there for a few years. Cousin Linnea taught me a bit too." She smiled.
"You know Linnea?" I looked up to Loki in surprise.
"She reached out within the first year of you gone. Said she wanted to teach Frig all about her mother's home."
"I'm glad. I'll have to go back and give her my thanks."
"You might have to wait a bit on that." A vaguely familiar voice said, and I turned around to see a man with a goatee step out of an orange portal. "Alexandra Magnidaughtri. Loki Odinson. I need you to come with me."
"Doctor Strange?"
"Thanos is back on Earth. I'm gathering people to come help fight, and I need you and some of your warriors. I'll leave some portals open for you all."
The man didn't say anything more, instead just creating a few more portals before creating one last one, walking through it and disappearing.
"Loki-"
"No. You are staying here." He shook his head.
"Loki..."
"No! I will not lose you again because of that monster!"
"Loki..." I all but whispered, placing a hand on his cheek. "I'll be right beside you the whole time. Nothing shall happen to me. I promise."
"You really have to go? So soon?" Frig's little voice asked, causing my heart to break.
"I'm afraid so, kjæreste. But we will be back before you know it. Safe. And we will never have to leave you again." (darling)
Frig sighed as Frigga placed a hand on her shoulder, pulling her back. "Don't worry, dears. We shall be waiting for you to come back. Just... make sure you come back."
"We will, Mother." I smiled, moving to give the woman a hug. "Thank you for taking care of them."
"I wouldn't do anything less."
