~Alex~

"Alexandra, will you please quiet your child?" Sif glared at me for the hundredth time.

"Would you like to have a go at calming my child, Sif?" I asked the warrior, whose eyes widened.

I sighed as I continued to softly rock Frig, praying to all the Norns she would calm down and cease her crying.

"Do you know what the problem is, Alex?" Frigga asked.

"I've already fed her, so it's not that. She doesn't need burped, and she doesn't need changed. The only thing she could want is-" I choked on my words, causing Frigga to look at me in understanding.

"She misses her father. Just like you miss your husband."

I nodded as I sat back in my seat, my head leaning back to rest on the wall behind me.

"I know how you feel, darling. I miss my boys too. But we have to believe they're alright. Liv has always been good at multitasking."

"Yeah, alright." I nodded, looking down at my crying daughter. "You hear that, liten en? Your papa is gonna get to us when he can. He's just... in a tight spot right now. But I know your dad. He's probably doing everything he can to get to us. Same with your uncle Thor." (little one)

I smiled as Frig slowly started calming down, having tiered herself out so much that she just went straight to sleep.

Hopefully, she can stay quiet for the rest of the trip, or else Sif will end up trying to quiet Frig her way, and I don't wanna know what that entails.

Loki's POV ~

"We must let them rest. They must have been through a lot back there. That was Liv's magic that brought them to us."

My eyes slowly opened as people talked around me, my eyes meeting tiered gold ones beside me. Both of our eyes widened in shock, and Heimdall and I quickly sat up, his hands moving to pat down his chest while mine moved to my neck, which felt a bit soar.

"You're awake! Thank the Gods." I looked up again, seeing one of the older palace healers, Agda, move towards us. "We were worried when you showed up in a golden puff of smoke, both extremely pale. I figured it was Liv who brought you to us."

"You... you know Liv?" I panted, wincing when the woman touched my neck.

"Yes. She trained under me when not with the Allmother. We were all ordered to no longer speak of her and Hela, though, when both disappeared." She told us. "You both seem relatively okay. The Princess must not have had enough energy to fully heal the two of you."

"She needs to keep her strength," Heimdall grunted as he slowly stood, looking around the near-empty ship. "Where is this thing headed?"

"I suspect to Midgard since we don't know what is happening with Asgard. We've been headed there at a steady pace for a few hours now. Never been to Midgard, so I don't know how much longer we'll take." Agda told us.

"With the speed we're going probably another hour or two," Heimdall said as he looked out the window.

"Agda, have you heard anything from my mother or wife?" I asked the woman.

"No, sorry, your highness. I've tried talking to the other ships, but it seems like the one the Allmother and Princess are on has a broken communicator."

"Of course," I grumbled, walking to sit down in an empty seat.

I closed my eyes as I leaned back, my head hitting the wall behind me.

"Alex? Darling, can you hear me?" I tried, hoping for a response. "Alex, please, love, answer me."

I waited.

And waited.

And waited.

But nothing came.

I tried Mother and nothing.

I tried Thor and nothing.

I even tried Sif and got nothing.

All of them were too far away to even talk via telepathy.

"I'm sure your lady wife is okay, your highness. Your mother and Eir are with her and your daughter." One of the other Asgardians tried to reassure me.

"Yes, thank you," I mumbled.

I just wish I could at least talk to my wife.

~~

Heimdall has been sitting strangely still these last few minutes.

His glowing eyes have gone unblinking, and his body hasn't seemed to move an inch.

Some of the other Asgardians and I watched the unmoving gatekeeper, waiting for him to awaken from his strange coma.

"Heimdall? What were you doing?" I hesitantly asked as soon as he stared, his eyes repeatedly blinking from being open so long.

"I was visiting the Queen. Seeing what was going on."

"My mother? How is she, how is Alex? And my daughter?" I sat up.

"I apologize, Loki, I meant Liv." He frowned. "She is currently with Tony Stark and others on Titan."

"Titan? What's she doing there?"

"Apparently she's going to try and defeat Thanos."

"What? They can't defeat Thanos! I don't even think it would be possible if Liv was at her strongest!" I shouted.

"She assures me that she has a... a chance, at defeating him. Or at least getting that gauntlet of his."

"A chance. My sister thinks she has a chance at defeating the titan? She's truly lost it!"

"We have to have faith. If not, I fear what is to become of us all."
