Chapter 52 LOST, FOUND AND MISSING

The team head off to the first location as the sounds of the city get quieter as the 4 travel by armoured car. Ridge was driving as AN was in the front seat watching for enemies as Wolf sat in the back as he looks at the watches map for locations to start searching. AK looks on his shoulder as he continues to observe the map. The first item on their list was the old military outpost where a agents last known location may have been.

They were not sure what they were going to find but they had to be ready for anything. The agents name was Oliver who disappeared about a month ago. The last known location of the agent was at a outpost that was now abandoned. He was with a team of agents who also went missing around the same time he did. AK wasn't sure why Wolf wanted to find these missing agents but to him it was simple... closure. 

The car turns into an empty street that had rocks all over it and rubble as Ridge watched where he drove. They could see the military outpost come into view as Wolf explains the plan to them. He suggests they sneak through the back entrance just in case someone is inside and if so take them out. The car parks as the handbrake is pulled with them all exiting the vehicle.

They could see the old outpost standing strong but decrepit. Nature has made it it's home as the vines and grass overgrow around it flooding into the holes that the building suffered. This was one of the first places to spot the invasion of the Sangvis Ferri and it shows. Wolf walks to the building and could see the craters, bullet holes and markings around it. He places his hand on them feeling the way the bullet went as did many of them.

They enter through a gapping hole in the wall where a shell must of exploded, they try to make minimum noise as they step over the debris. They could see old papers litter the area, broken devices and furniture as one area had tables together which looked akin to a makeshift hospital bed. Wolf looks around with his night vision googles as he skims through some of the old documents trying to collect some lost information.

AN and AK on the other hand start to make their way up the stairs looking for more info. The stairs creaked a bit which put AN and AK on high alert, with each step they listened to hearing any noise upstairs. But as they got up there they could see bullet casings littering the floor which makes them train their rifles in front of them. They were fresh and they could envision a picture of what happened down here.

AK 12: Were they attacked?

AN 94: Possible.... But by who? cause these don't match Sangvis Ferri bullet casings.

AK 12: Then look out AN cause we may have company.

The first room was upon them and with a count to three AK opened the door but inside there was no one but a rifle on the ground that looked like it was hastily thrown away. AN opens the next room and found something that made a whirling noise as she dashed away. Shrapnel fires around as the two evade the attack as Ridge and Wolf hear it from downstairs.

They stomp up the stairs to see both of the girls hiding away as they could see the place was littered with shrapnel. Ridge looks at AN who is breathing heavily as she sighs saying it was a trap. Wolf walks towards the room that had the device and could see a person on the chair but they are not moving. He was gone as Wolf could see the injuries the guy sustained but it was a while ago. ISAC begins to talk.

ISAC: AGENT CONFIRMED OLIVER STATUS DECEASED

Wolf: Someone must of been following the guy and hunted him down....

Ridge: It looks like Hunter handiwork.... check for his watch.

Wolf checks the right arm as he sees no watch on it along with his gadgets. Ridge took a look around the room as AN and AK search the rest of the rooms but came up with nothing. Wolf knew why they took the gadgets and so does Ridge. Wolf calls it in as they exit the room but as they do they hear something smash downstairs that sends them on alert. Wolf brings his finger to his mouth telling them to stay quiet as they train their rifles carefully approaching.
