Chapter 115 THE WARS END

Everybody stood still in disbelief after hearing the others confirm it, some have shaky legs while others hold their breath for the rest of the news. They had done it.... after the years of toil and suffering the bells beckoned for the end of the war and it was all thanks to Wolf and the rest. The Azur Lane girls cheer with a roar so loud they could be heard from the base but not that the base wasn't erupting with cheer either. Soldiers threw their empty mags around with some whistling and cheering.

For some they sunk to their knees as the exhaustion of it all had finally caught up to them once and for all. They could finally sleep knowing that there will be a tomorrow not filled with gunfire and patrols. One where they could actually kick up their feet and take a deep breath knowing that they had defeated their foe once and for all. The word gets to the command room with the three men falling silent for a bit only for tears to stain the war torn map.

It was Perri who was glad... so glad that the war was finally over, the weight of being a commander felt like it had been lifted off his shoulders once and for all as pats on the back were followed by both Kryuger and Williams who cheer for the ones who made it happen. However to them they had no clue on the condition or status for the others on the battlefield. With a swift command from Perri he orders the comms guys in the command room to get in touch with Leliana so they can see what actually was going on down there.

But instead of patching a line through the line had already been patched by Leliana who responded back with a cheery voice knowing that victory had been achieved. But before Perri could even utter a single word Leliana answers his question about the others including Wolf. Currently the others were alright but some were injured enough to need assistance from Vestal but for Wolf he was unconscious lying his head on the shoulder of AK who holds him tightly telling him in his ear softly.

"You are a hero ... my hero Wolf..." Evans and Anders manage to make sure that Wolf didn't lose anymore blood even though he probably didn't have any left after bleeding out for so long but at this point they believed Wolf had exchanged all the extra lives he was given.  Anders boat floats peacefully on the battlefield as others come back to meet up with the rest of the people who were eager to get back to base to finally celebrate their victory.

But it was also to check on the man who made it all happen, the one who was sleeping soundly on AK's shoulder knowing that he would never have to pick up a rifle again or wake up early in the morning to do missions. The others couldn't contain their excitement giving high fives to the others along with tight hugs but for one she walked up to Wolf and gave him a pat on the back. AK looks up to see Baltimore who had a few injuries and damaged equipment but a lot to keep going on the fight.

She looks to her ex boyfriend and smiles at him, she was happy for him after all he had done for them. She was going to give him a kiss on the cheek but knowing that AK was going to get mad for it she just rubs his back along with a quick shoulder rub that he subconsciously thanks her for it all. For AK she could finally feel a burden lift off her chest along with the others who were crying in joy and happiness as they couldn't not thank Wolf for everything he had done.

He saved them, reunited them, fought for them at the cost of his happiness. A void of darkness and sadness that Wolf had struggled for so long.... in his mind he imagines his family, his friends all there thanking him for everything that he had done putting them at rest. They stand as a group looking at Wolf, smiling at him for everything he has done. Tears fill Wolf's eyes as he tells them that he failed them back then... he wished he could of saved him, his mother, father who look at him with tears grabbing onto him and holding him tightly.
