Chapter 101 Goodbye Friend

The street was dark and unforgiving, littered with crater holes from artillery shells that rocked the place years ago. A once prospering street with people going to their daily commutes and cars driving by at 50 km hour enjoying the slight breeze and sun beaming through the tinted windows. All replaced by the sounds of rushed footsteps and flashlights that created it's own light through the streets.

The sound of yelling, distance gunfire and artillery told them that the fight was in full swing. They had to find the CEO of SOLAR who ran away on the first sight of the combined forces, avoiding them like the plague but 15 had ran after them. For the others they hadn't heard much about this Elisa but from what Persica told M4 and M16 back then, she is the mastermind behind the whole Ferri rule. 

She wasn't the one who created the Ferri but acts as the mastermind for it, an AI of some sorts who had ran rogue from it's code wishing nothing more but a reborn humanity. If the group was able to stop her today or at least know where she was going, then they would be ever so closer to checkmating her. However as of now their comrade was in trouble and they needed to get their fast.

Having regrouped with some of the others with M16 tagging along she could see the staring by the others with mixed expressions. However for M4 she just looked at her older sister with a look of determination which fuelled the both of them. The feeling of their family being in trouble made them fear the worst. However for once Wolf was actually behind them along with some of the rest.

Wolf could feel the sharp pain from the injuries with every step but he knew that they were non lethal so he kept pressing forward. Wolf knew the others wanted Wolf to rest from the fight along with Evans but the promise he made to M16 was absolute. He didn't want her to lose the only family she has left to turn too. Who are willing to bring her back in with open arms for what she did to the others.

She knew that so did the rest of them, She knew exactly how many people suffered because of her actions on that fateful day. However they have restraint in shooting her or tackling her to the ground to prepare an arrest. For right now they had bigger fish to fry and to them that was the Ringleader and AR 15. To M4 she could feel a cold wave of worry for 15 since she knew that 15 would always try to prove herself to M4 like 94 does for AK 12.

She didn't want AR 15 from doing something reckless that would result in her getting killed along with others who might be around her. However an hour previously AR 15 had been busy wiring the whole building up. With metres upon metres of cable and kilos upon kilos of explosives were set for the building ready to go off with a click of a button. The plan was going to be a one way trip for her but she was ready. 

AR 15: I am not being a burden anymore to the others... I want to prove myself to the others one way or another.

M4: 15 where are you!? We need you!

AR 15: Don't worry I'm a floor below you, I will be there in a sec just keep searching the area to make sure the coast is clear.

M4: Affirmative... but get here fast.

AR 15: I will..... *Sigh* I'm sorry M4... but this is my way of proving my loyalty to you.

She dashes out of the building and heads back to the SOLAR headquarters as the fighting had kicked up with artillery fire and gunfire littering all around. With closed eyes she equips the mask that Wolf gave her with the light signifying that it had been activated. She reloads another magazine into the AR 15 and holds it at the enemy making her way back to the base. M4's footsteps get louder and faster along with M16 who was following behind her sister.
