Chapter 21

Abigail's POV

"It's Abigail Jenson-Tedder everybody...Welcome to the show Abigail" Burt introduced me.

"Hello, thanks for having me" I reply with a smile, I always made time for Burt's radio show interviews. Simply because he was very straight forward and honest.

It had been two weeks since the Nashville concert and two weeks since we found out I was pregnant. It had finally sunk in now. Me and Ryan had even got used to the idea we were expecting two babies. The rest of the band had been amazing and hadn't said a word to anybody.

Ryan and I decided to tell our families as soon as we got to Denver, I had organised a huge family gathering to celebrate Ryan's birthday. We had signed the documents for a house we had seen that we both fell in love with instantly, even though we hadn't seen it in person we had been given a Skype tour by the local real estate agent.

Tony and Harriet were joining us in Denver and to our delight Leroy had come back to work with us. I had never been so relieved, especially with my current situation. Ryan was so much more relaxed now Leroy was back and I was being protected properly.

"So Abigail you have alot going on right now, what with a new movie coming out soon and another series of Vampire Stories, not to mention currently being on tour with Ryan and the guys from OneRepublic...how are you finding time to breathe right now?"

I laugh gently, Burt has a great sense of humour "Oh it's scheduled in my diary"

"Seriously though it must be insane never being in the same city for more than two days?"

"Yeah it can get pretty hectic, sometimes to the point where you can't even remember where you fell asleep the night before. I mean you wake up and are like, are we still in Paris?...oh no we're in Milan now, okay cool"

Burt laughs "So what else is planned for Abigail after the few months you plan to spend on tour with Ryan?"

"Well I will be filming the new series of Vampire Stories and I will also be a guest judge for about 8 episodes of Dancing With the Stars, which I am really excited about"

"Oh yeah I read about something like that" Burt looks more serious "Now Abigail, we recently read something in a newspaper article about a very famous godfather no-one knows about, what we want to know is, is this true or just something that has been fabricated to sell newspapers"

"No it's true" I giggle I know exactly what he means and he is right, this fact about me has never been brought into the light until now.

"So let's get this out there now, your very famous Godfather that no-one knows about is who...?"

"Johnny Cash" I say with a hint of amusement in my voice.

"And tell us where and why this came about" Burt was extremely excited to be learning this information.

"Johnny was my Grandfather's childhood best friend, they grew up together and we're incredibly close. He was my Mom's godfather and when I was born my Mom thought it would be a nice gesture if he was my godfather too"

"This is crazy, out of all the things that have been broadcasted about you, how the hell did they miss this...how did we miss it?"

"No one ever thinks to ask things like that, I remember when Ryan found out. We had been dating for a while and it was probably the 2nd or 3rd time we visited my parents house. My mom got the old photos out as Mom's do and as we looked through them he saw one of Uncle Johnny holding me at my christening. It blew him away when I said he was a family friend who I had known for years"

"That is incredible" Burt seemed just as speechless as Ryan had been.

We wrapped up the interview with a few more 'safe' questions. I thanked him for a great interview and said my goodbyes before heading out of the studio. Leroy was sat waiting for me in the corridor, he stood up and started walking with me towards the exit. I had to rush I was running a little late for a lunch date with Harriet "Quite a few paps have gathered outside baby girl, I have told Marcus to meet us with the car"

Now I should probably tell you about Marcus, he is the new guy Ryan hired. Leroy was now my official bodyguard and Marcus had been hired to do everything Leroy used to do, like drive me around and such. He basically had his training at the same place Leroy did, so his skills are pretty old school, but he is good at what he does. Ryan and I are pretty sure he used to be a driver for the Mafia at some point in his life not actually a fact just an assumption we both made because of his personality.

"Stay close to me" Leroy wrapped an arm protectively around my shoulders and walked it side with me. We were greeted by an ocean of flashes.

"ABIGAIL, is it true you have signed a deal for the new Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie?" A reporter yelled.

"Not that I know of" I replied courtiously.

"ABI what do you think of a recent comment made by Justin Bieber?" Another guy yelled.

"Justin makes alot of comments"

"The one about showing you a real man" I laughed loudly.

"I haven't heard about that one, but thanks for bringing it to my attention" they always find a new way to amuse me. Leroy still has his arm firmly around my shoulders as he pushes his way through the crowd of people.

"You okay" he says softly, as I look up I can see the white Range Rover parked at the curb side.

"Yeah" I manage, I can feel the photographers pushing towards us in one last desperate attempt to get a shot of me before I get in the car.

One of the reporters try one last a tempt to get a photo just as Leroy opens the car door for me. He shuts it quickly after I get in and rushes to the other side "It's good to have you back" I smile as he looks out through the tinted glass.

"It's good to be back, well most of the time anyway"

It was finally the day I had been waiting for, Ryan's birthday. We had arranged to collect the keys to our new house this morning. We fetched them early and was now en-route to our new place in Denver.

Ryan looked puzzled as we parked up on the driveway. There was already a car parked, but not just any car it was a Mercedes 6x6. Actually it was the car Ryan had been obsessing about after a visit to the Mercedes showroom a few months ago. He had been asked to do a promotional video for a new electric car, any way while he was there he fell completely in love with this beast of a vehicle. And now here it is on his drive with a red bow on the hood.

"What the..." I smiled a I saw Ryan get out of the car and walk over to the Mercedes.

"Happy Birthday Baby" I got out the car and walked behind him, he turned instantly.

"Huh"

"Do you like your present?"

"Oh man are you serious? Abi this is incredible...when?...how did you get this?"

"Let's just say I owe the guys down at Mercedes alot of sexual favours" I joked and Ryan's laughter roared.

"You badass" he pulled me towards him "Seriously though baby it can't have been cheap"

"It doesn't matter how much it cost, what matters is do you like it?"

"Hell yeah, it's incredible. Where are the keys?"

"Inside"
