Chapter 40

Abigail's POV

I could feel Leroy and Ryan watching me as I spoke to Simone and her family, they are as sweet and kind as I remember. Very humble and shy, and all incredibly excited to be here.

I introduce each of them to the members of the band. Simone is very shy as she speaks to Zach, Brent and Eddie. Mary was talking to Drew and Violet...well let's just say Violet seemed extremely confident around Ryan. I watched with a smile on my face as she tried desperately to flirt with him, if I am honest I think I was more amused by the look on Ryan's face.

Suddenly a vibrating sensation on my leg brought me back to reality "Hey sweetie it's Tony" a cheerful voice echoed down the phone "Do you have time to talk, I have some things to discuss with you, that need your final authorisation"

"Yeah I'm good to talk, what needs authorising?" I reply as I pull my ipad out of my bag.

"I've emailed you a link, it's the photoshoot you did last week for Vogue. They have a selection of cover shots" I opened the link and scrolled down.

"Erm either number 438, 291 or 328 is good with me, I'll leave it up to Sara to make the final call. Tell her not to over photoshop it though I don't want to look like a barbie doll"

"Okay sweetie and what about the script have you made a decision yet? They're pushing for an answer"

"Tell them I'll do it under the condition that we meet in person to discuss everything"

"Awesome okay honey, oh have you thought any more about the make-up range. Jenny thinks it would be a great accompaniment to your new clothing range launch, you know like a coming soon"

"Yeah we can sit down and talk about it at some point while I'm in Georgia" I reply as I flick through images of Freya on my ipad god I miss her face "Is that everything?"

"No, one more thing Piers Morgan wants to know if you are available next week to do an interview?"

"What kind of interview?"

"The one you talked about, the hour long tv special one"

"Tell him I won't do it until Ryan has finished his tour, I want him to be there"

"Okay baby girl" Tony seems happy with my answers which is a good thing "I can't wait to see you, I miss you" as soon as Tony speaks, Freya pops into my head again.

Even though I don't say alot, being away from Freya was killing me. I was used to her going to Nick's a few months at a time, but to be away from home constantly and then to share her during the holidays with Nick...the selfish part of me wanted to make her come home and never go back again...but the sad truth was that she loved it at that school. Freya had made lots of new friends and had been more settled there than anywhere else, even when she was being home tutored was I a bad mother, is that why she prefers to be away from me?

"Abi sweetie, are you still there?" Tony's voice interupts my thoughts.

"What oh yeah I'm still here, sorry Tony" I look over at Ryan who has managed to escape from Violet, he is talking to Leroy "I really miss you too, doing all this in person would be amazing right now" Tony senses my change in tone.

"Is everything okay baby girl?" Tony knew me as well as Leroy did, I had been a part of his life since I was a teenager.

"Yeah everything's fine, it's nothing to worry about honestly. Hey I gotta go, I'll call you tonight okay"

"Yeah okay, I'll speak to you soon"

I watched as Ryan walked over to me "You okay baby?" He asked as he put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer for a hug.

"Yeah I am okay, just thinking about tomorrow morning" my mind hadn't really shifted from what the doctor told us.

"Yeah I know, me too" Ryan exhaled and kissed my temple "It's kind of hard not to think about it...hey did you want to get out of her for half an hour, we could grab a sandwich from across the road if you want"

"Yeah okay" i reply, Ryan tells everyone we are just nipping out and we all of a sudden end up with an order list from everyone. I don't mind though at least I get some time alone with Ryan before the show. Leroy has decided to stay with the venues security team, to give them a brief rundown of what usually happens during a show. It is the first time the guys have played here so no-one knows what to expect.

"This city is incredible" Ryan sighs as we walk out onto the sidewalk.

"Yeah its definately on my top 5 favourite list" I reply as I respond to him holding my hand, by linking my fingers with his. As we walk into the Sandwich shop, my phone rings in my pocket "Hello"

"Hello stranger" a familiar voice makes me grin widel, the voice belonged to Harry.

"Hey you" I reply as I glance at the menu quickly, there are so many choices.

"Tony wanted to tell you, but I had to ring you and tell you myself. Abi I have some amazing news" she sounds very excited, I can almost visualise her jumping up and down on the spot with excitement.

"What news?" Ryan glanced up from his menu, he must have been able to hear her.

"Abi you have been nominated for 3 Academy awards" Harry gushed as I just stood there in complete shock. Ryan was staring at me now, he looked a little concerned.

"You okay?" He mouthed quietly, I nodded and he returned his glance to the menu.

"Oh my god that's huge" I still can't quite believe it "I really need to tell Ryan, I'll call you back later" I quickly hang up and look and Ryan.

"What's going on?" He laughs nervously "You look like a kid at christmas"

"I have been nominated for 3 Acadamy awards" I stutter, even the words sound strange coming from my mouth. Ryan just stares at me wide eyed.

"Oh man that's incredible, Well done baby" he pulls me close and kisses me hard, we almost forget where we are, until a man from behind the counter asks us what we'd like. I hand him the order list "And a chicken salad on wholemeal please?"

"Just a club sandwich for me thanks" Ryan tells the guy before turning to face me again "I'm so proud of you"

"Aww thanks baby" I smile before handing they guy some money to pay "This is so surreal, I can't believe it"

"I don't know why you are an amazing actress, always have been"

I feel my cheeks burn, it isn't often I blush when Ryan pays me a compliment. But this is huge, I have actually been nominated for 3 Acadamy awards...wow!
