Chapter 12

Ryan's POV

Twenty minutes late for your own radio show, how fucking professional...I wasn't sure if I was actually mad at the DJ for being late or just because I wanted to get back on the tour bus and Skype Abi. Being away from her was killing me, especially so soon after almost losing her.

I had agreed to this interview at quite short notice, but Alice had warned me that as it was a solo interview I would probably be asked questions about Ab's more than anything else. I guess you could say this fact alone was also pushing all the wrong buttons. Hannah Carston was just a few years older than I was and it was no secret that she disliked Abi, a fact that actually amused Ab's.

Anyway here I was waiting in a small room, for Hannah to arrive apparently she was stuck in traffic. I found myself clock watching, it was 6.20pm. I told myself if she didn't show up in the next 10 minutes I was leaving.

"Oh god Ryan I am so sorry" she stuttered as she rushed through the door "Do we still have time for a few questions?"

"No worries, yeah sure" I replied, even though I have personal issues with her I had also been warned by Alice to be nice.

I followed her into the studio and took a seat opposite the mixer desk, she handed me some headphones and put some on herself. I quickly replied to Abi's text while she went on air and introduced her show and me 'She has finally arrived, will call you when I am done love youxxx' I hit send just as she said my name "...its Ryan Tedder, hello Ryan welcome to the show"

"Hey" I reply as nicely as possible.

"So Ryan, usually I like to start my interviews with a round of quick fire questions which are phoned in by the listeners"

"Okay"

"Great so you just need to tell me the first thing that comes into your head when I ask you these questions"

"Right let's go" I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I look down at it and smile 'All tuned in xxx' it was from Abi she was obviously listening.

"Great first question, what was the last thing you had to eat?"

"Erm Pizza"

"What do you prefer a shower or Bath?"

"Depends a shower for quickness or a bath to relax"

"Favourite Yankee Candle fragrance?"

"Erm Cinnamon Stick"

"Is it true you wrote, Something I Need, about your wife?"

"Yep" I can sense the tension and as she asks me the next question I find myself smiling.

"Final question, name a celebrity you would like to spend the night with"

"Abigail Jenson-Tedder obviously, my wife without a doubt"

"Great answer" Hannah laughed uncomfortably "So Ryan it's no secret how ill Abigail has been recently, is she on the mend now?"

"Yeah it's been a rough week but she is over the worst, she is still in hospital but should be coming home in a few days"

"It must have been really scary for you?"

"Yep" I felt the anger creep back in, I jumped a little when I felt my phone it was Abi again 'You're not being nice Ryan xxx' I smiled again before putting my phone back in my pocket.

"So Ryan tell us more about this new album, it sounds very different from the last two albums"

"Yeah well we try to change our sound, we get bored easily"
