Chapter 47

Ryan's POV

We had been asked to perform while the models walked down the runway and then do a couple of songs afterwards. It's not something we usually did, but we were doing it for Abi. She had asked us all to take part as her new clothing line was something she held close to her heart. It wasn't just about the clothing line, Abi had been working closely with children with Downs Syndrome for years. She wanted to do something that would benefit them and felt this was her way to do that.

"All these beautiful women, Ryan how the hell are we going to stay focused tonight" Drew laughs as he watches some of the models doing their rehearsals. He did have a good point, although I was a happily married man, even I was finding it hard to concentrate.

"We'll just have to take a cold show before and after the show" I laugh, Brent, Drew, Zach and Eddie all see the funny side too.

As I tune my guitar I look up and can see Abi, she is surrounded by a cloud of people, Harry and Leroy are there, and about 5 crew members, 8 models, make up artists and god knows who else. The more I watch her the more it dawns on me just how different our lives are. She is the most important person in this room right now, the more I look at her the more I am drawn to how flawlessly beautiful she is and how she treats each person individually. Abi has respect for each and everyone of them, that's why I fell in love with her.

Abi looks over towards us and the smile on her face says it all, although we are not even in the same league fame wise, I am still the most important person in this room in her eyes. The longer I look at her the further I am drawn into her, she seems to pull me towards he like gravity.

"Ryan you have over tuned it now" Zach chuckles "I know she's beautiful, but pay attention"

Shit how did she still have this effect on me even after nearly four years, she still managed to consume me like this.

I played the first few chords for Stop and Stare, it sounded great even in a room like this. I was pleasantly surprised, as I looked up I smiled to myself as I watched Abi sing each lyric to Stop and Stare.

The next few hours flew by and suddenly we found ourselves performing on stage as the models walked past us in rhythm with the music. We played Stop and Stare, Love Runs Out and Life in Color and Au Revior. Abi came out at he end in a gorgeous black and white dress, it was mid length and fitted her figure perfectly.

"Thank you so much everyone for coming out to support us today" Abi took a microphone and spoke to the audience "A big thank you to a the models and technicians, and of course to OneRepublic who did an amazing job...which of course leads me to thanking my amazing husband Ryan for all his never ending love and support, it's times like this that make me grateful to be your wife" she glances over at me and I wink at her, my god she's amazing.

The crowd clap "Now I know you are all here tonight, not only to see my new clothing line. But also to help the cause my new range will be supporting, this whole range and a whole lot more will be available to order and buy online at midnight tonight, and 30% of the profits will be going directly to Plus 1, which is a charity that specialises in supporting not just children with downs syndrome but the families who are affected by having a child with Down Syndrome"

The crowd cheer and clap loudly "Thank you so much for making this happen" Abi turned and walked back down the catwalk with 4 models, I noticed Leroy was rushing in the same direction but he was down on the floor.

I followed everyone back stage. Eddie, Zach, Brent and Drew were hot on my heels. I noticed everyone looked unnerved and worried "What's going on?" I asked as I got closer to Abi, she was shaking "Baby what's happened?"
I quickly pulled Abi into my arms.

"Did you not see the bottle of water?" Harriet filled me in, I hadn't seen anything. The rest of the band looked a little concerned after Harriet enlightened us.

"I panicked after what happened with Kelsey, I genuinely thought it was someone throwing acid" Abi sniffed "It came towards the stage and landed just in front of me on the floor"

I did see the security guards jump to the side a little I just assumed they were blocking the camera view "Hey its perfectly understandable, you have every right to be nervous"

"Oh my god honey that was amazing" Stella exclaimed as she walked towards Abi. She obviously hadn't seen what had happened either. I assumed she didn't want her Mom or Freya to know what had happened.

Abi quickly pulled away from me and turned to hug her mom "Thanks Mom, I'm glad you liked it"

"I am so proud of you Mom" Freya hugged Abi tightly "And you were awesome too" she turned and looked at me and the rest of the guys "That's the first time I have seen you live properly" she grinned.

"Yeah well you will see a better show in Georgia on Saturday, you are still coming right?" Zach smiled as he handed Freya a back stage pass which was attached to a pink personalised lanyard. The guys had it made up specially for her when Abi said she would be coming.

"Is this for me? Freya seemed a little overwhelme "It's pink"

"Your mom said it was your favourite colour" Eddie interrupted "We thought you could take it and add it to your collection"

"Thank you, I love it" Freya giggled.

"Yeah and don't lose it" Drew chuckled "Or you won't be able to get backstage at the show"

Abi didn't say anything, she didn't have to the tear's in her eyes told us all how moved she was. She leant forwards and hugged Zach and kissed his cheek, she then took turns to hug the others too "Thank you guys it means a lot" Abi smiled.

After the show Abi, Stella, Freya and I all went for something to eat. It was nice to sit down with them, especially with Freya being at boarding school. I am glad the surprise worked so well. Spending time with her Mom and daughter was just what she needed "Hey honey why don't you ask Ryan what you spoke to me about?" Abi smiled, I looked at Freya who was now blushing a little.

"Ask me about what Princess?" I smiled trying to reassure her a little.

"We have to write a song for our music homework and I was hoping maybe...if you would mind helping me?"

"I'd love too" I wasn't sure why but this simple little gesture moved me completely. It meant the world to me that she had asked for my help on something like this. I could see it meant a lot to Abi too.

"Oh that's lovely sweetie" Stella sighed "You will be able to write an amazing song with Ryan's help"
