Chapter 39

Ryan's POV

"Is she okay? What's going on?" Leroy looks puzzled, I feel I have to tell him what's going on.

"We weren't going to tell anybody yet, but earlier at the hospital we found out Ab's is 21 weeks pregnant...which means she was pregnant when she had menigitis" I explained to a stunned Leroy.

"What?" He exhaled "So what does that mean for the pregnancy now then?"

"We won't know anything for definate until tomorrow, Ab's has to go for a growth and development scan. Any abnormalities will be picked up on then"

"And if they are normal?" Leroy questions.

"Then hopefully everything should be okay" I have so many fears brewing as I think about the possibilities "Maybe I should go up and talk to her, she is taking it really hard"

"I wouldn't man" Leroy replied quickly "If she needs some space give it to her, I'm sure she will call if she needs you"

"I don't know, I hate leaving her alone when she is like this"

"Ryan honestly, she will he fine. We won't go far just down to the bar okay" I reluctantly nod and follow Leroy to the bar.

There are a group of girls watching Leroy and I from the next table, they are whispering and giggling amongst themselves. I find myself checking my phone, as I look up I see two girls approach us "Hi my name is Dawn and this is my Sister Tina, we are huge fans and would love a picture with you if we may?" They couldn't have picked a worse time, I gritted my teeth and posed for a few photos.

I was grateful that they didn't linger to chat, my attention hadn't really left my wife. Abi was still very much present in my head this is stupid I can't leave her alone, I can't physically do it...I need to be with her, she needs me "I need to talk to her"

Okay she isn't answering her phone. I am now jogging down the corridor towards the rooftop exit door, it is s
still open so I assume she is still out there "Abi" I call it as I run up the stairs "Abi"

It isn't until I walk out onto the rooftop terrace that I see her oh shit, she is on the floor unconscious. As I pull her into my arms I realise she is bleeding on her head, she must have hit her head "Abi, baby, Abi" as I shake her gently, she starts to come around.

"What happened?" She stutters.

"I don't know you must have passed out again, you have hit your head" as I look down I can see her blood on my shirt. I take my phone out of my pocket and call Leroy.

"Who is she?" Abi asks out of nowhere and my heart stops "I heard you talking to Leroy, Ryan who were you talking about? Who is she? Did you...?"

"What? NO" I reply quickly, my stomach turns at the thought of being with another woman "Please tell me you didn't think?"

"I don't know what I thought" Abi sniffed.

"Abi the girl I was talking to Leroy about is called Kelsey Riley, she was Dominic Hendly's girlfriend" the colour from Abi's cheeks fades "She was plotting a revenge attack, she was going to attack you with acid during the fashion show tomorrow night"

"What? Why?" tears fell from Abi's eyes as she tried to make sense of it "I'm so sorry I thought..."

"Hey don't...There is no other woman in this world I will ever want more than you, you're my check mate remember" I try and reassure her "And listen whatever happens at the hospital tomorrow, well it won't make any difference. They are still going to be our babies okay?"
