Chapter 57

Ryan's POV

"So Ryan when can we expect to hear your 5th album? Are you almost finished?" Clive asks me as, I am doing a radio interview for his radio show.

"Erm we still have a few loose ends to tie up first, but it shouldn't be to far into the distant furture" I can't help but smile when I receive Abi's reply, I check it while I talk to Clive.

"Apart from working on your new album, what else can we look forward to in the not so distant future?" Clive smirks, I know he is talking about the twins but I avoid the conversation.

"Possibly another short tour, to promote our album when it is finished. And we have also been asked to write a theme song for a new TV Show that's coming out soon. So that's something different"

"And what about you personally, I mean I know you have been known to write hit songs for popular artists. Are there anymore coming up?"

"I have a few lined up, but to be honest my main focus after finishing this tour will be to spend time with my wife" I look at my messages again.

"Of course, now I am sure we are all aware that Abigail is due to give birth in December, for those of you who didn't know she was pregnant...where have you been?" He chuckles "Does being apart make it difficult for you both or are you guys used to it?"

"I don't think you ever get used to it to be honest" I frown "and it doesn't really get any easier, it is what it is I guess and there does come a time where you think...well its what we do and there isn't much we can do about it. All we can do is make the most of whatever time we get to spend together"

"Cherish every moment?"

"Yeah absolutely" Clive had basically summed it up perfectly.

"Can I just say, we had Abigail on the show a few months ago and I have to say she is so down to earth. Such a delight...is she like it all the time? I mean who is the real Abigail Jenson-Tedder?"

"Pretty much who you see standing in front of you, I mean she is beautiful inside and out. With or without make up, cameras on or off, she's gorgeous. She has so much time for others and has a gift of making every person in the room feel important" I try and describe my wife the best I can.

"She truly is a joy" Clive smiles "You are a very lucky man Ryan"

"Thank you, yeah she is and yeah I am" I smile as I get yet another text from Ab's. Clive is smiling at me, I guess he knows who is texting me.

"Okay back to OneRepublic" Clive quickly changes the conversation "As a band you have changed your music style with each Album you have released, can we expect something different for this album?"

"Yeah no album should sound the same, I think to be honest if we put out the same style album time and time again we would probably get bored. Not that I am saying it doesn't work for everyone, some artists are great without changing their style...it's just our personal preference as a band. We like to keep challenging ourselves with new sounds"

"Change with the times so to speak, it's great that you aren't afraid to do this" Clive looked down at a sheet of paper in front of him "Okay Ryan, I did a call in earlier, and gave the fans an opportunity to ask you questions. I have a short list of them here..."

"Cool" this could go one way or the other, I think quietly to myself.

"Right first question is from Lexi Broadbent in Tampa Florida, If you could pick any artist to work with either dead or alive, who would it be? And why?"

"Wow that's a great question, erm probably Paul McCartney, mainly because he is such a legend and working with him would be a dream come true"

"Okay next question is from Dave In Texas, how do you know that a song you hear or write is going to be a hit?"
