Ryan's POV
Even though I am stood here staring at it, I am still finding it hard to take in that this huge beast of a machine belongs to me. I remember telling Ab's it was my dream car, but never in a million years did I expect to own one, they are like $900,000 to buy.
It's times like this I am reminded exactly how successful my beautiful wife is, and how incredibly thoughtful she is.
My attention is now fully hers as she stands beside me looking at me wow she is so beautiful, how did I get so lucky I have been left speechless.
"I'm so glad you like it" She slips her arms under my open jacket and wraps them around my torso. Abi isn't wearing heels today so she looks vulnerably small against my height, I find myself kissing the top of her head.
"Baby I love it" I whisper into her hair, she had washed it the night before and it has a scent of cherries "I still can't believe you got me this, it must have cost a fortune"
"Yeah but that's okay" she looks up at me and bites her lip "You can thank me properly later"
Hell I want to take her inside and thank her properly now "Come on let's go look round our new house, before Eddie and Zach get here" Abi unwraps her arms and grabs my hand, I laugh as we jog up the steps towards the front door "Ready" I push the door open and the place takes our breath away instantly. It is more amazing than I first remember "Oh man this is incredible" Abi moves away from me and gasps as she looks around the entrance hall. It is a masterpiece of white and dark wood, there are stairs facing us which spiral off to the right. Abi wastes no time going up them.
"Oh Jesus Ryan get up here" she calls from the top of them, I stride up them effortlessly two at a time and am as equally stunned by the first floor of our new home.
There are 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is also an en-suite bathroom attached to our bedroom. Obviously we will need to put our own mark on the house but so far it is absolutely perfect "I better ring Katie and tell her she did a good job with the furniture" Abi took her iPhone out of her pocket and dialled Katie's number whilst I looked out of our bedroom window.
"You did a great job thank you so much honey" Abi was smiling as she opening the door "And the closet looks amazing"
Closet? I think to myself as I follow Abi through a door that leads from our bedroom into an enormous room filled with empty rails and shelved "Is this the bedroom we sacrificed" I wondered as I looked around "It's nice"
I knew how important wardrobe space was to Abi "Hello" a familiar voice called from downstairs, I looked down and saw Leroy standing in the entrance hall "Everything is sorted" Leroy had set up a security station in the office next to the garage, we had cctv cameras installed so that every inch of the grounds were covered. The gates were also controlled from Leroy's station. Marcus (the guy I hired) would be in charge of all the security in the house whilst we were staying here, he also had the same job role in LA. I had made sure that Leroy's sole focus now was my wife. Abi's safety has always been a priority, but even more so now she was pregnant.
"Brilliant thanks buddy" I ran down the stairs and heard Abi's feet on the wooden floor behind me.
"Hey Leroy" Abi beamed when she saw him "Thanks for doing this today" she had also come down the stairs.
"Ab's it's fine, it's my job"
"Yeah but it isn't technically is it, you didn't technically need to be here until we were" Abi argued and Leroy chuckled, "At least let me make you some breakfast"
"Do I get a choice?"
"Nah" I laughed, Abi frowned at me before heading towards the kitchen. Leroy and I followed "Do we actually have any food in for breakfast?"
"Yeah, Katie filled the fridge and cupboards with food from a list I left for her" Abi opened the fridge and pulled out some eggs, I couldn't help but smile. Abi was always so organised, right down to the last detail.
"So what time is everyone getting here?" Leroy asked.
"Erm Zach and Eddie should be here anytime now, and our parents are arriving after lunch. Then everyone else is getting here later" I fill Leroy in, we both flick our heads up as Abi's cell phone rings in her pocket.
"What about Freya?" Leroy asked me quietly "Is she still coming?"
"Yeah Stella and Frank are bringing her"
I watch Abi curiously she looks a mixture of pissed off and devastated "It's a bit late for that now Nick, Jesus why would you even send her something like that. You know what it doesn't matter nothing you can say is going to fix this" I get off the stool and walk closer to Abi who is now covering half her face with her hand "NO NICK YOU LISTEN you gave her something even my family haven't seen. Do you have any idea what this will do to my Mom and Dad? What it will do to our daughter?"
I put my hand on Abi's shoulder and she grabs it tightly, her head is shaking in disapproval and her body is trembling "I can't deal with this right now I have to go" Abi hangs up and slams her cell phone on the counter.
"What's happened?" I have learnt now that whenever Nick or his family is involved in annoying Abi, it is usually wise to proceed with caution.
"Honestly Ry, I can't even talk about it right now" she mumbles "I'll tell you later, I don't want to spoil your birthday"
"Abi, baby, it's fine"
"I SAID NO" she snapped my head off see what I mean about caution. I hold my hands up to show I surrender "I'm sorry, later I promise"
I don't say anything else to her I just watch as she heads into the lounge, I dread to think what has happened. Whenever Nick's Mom says anything to the press it usually comes back on Abi ten fold. It was my job now to make sure that didn't happen, I needed to step up and do something, I wasn't willing to let Abi keep getting treated this way.
