Chapter 43

Ryan's POV

Last night was quite possibly one of the worst nights in my life, side by side with the night Abi got rushed into hospital with Meningitis.

I never wanted another like it, being accused of something like that scared the shit out of me. I am just glad I had the full support of my wife, she was amazing how she got the truth out of Violet, the way she did. Neither of us slept very well and not because of Violet, but because neither of us knew what to expect from the scan at the hospital today.

I was sat in the small lounge area of our hotel suite waiting for her to get ready "Ry have you seen my other ear-ring?" She yelled as she walked out of the bedroom wearing a cute black dress, which had a white robot on it.

"Is it on the shelf next to the shower?"
"Yeah got it" she called back, I stood up when she came back into the lounge "Are you ready to go?" She looked at me quickly before rushing off to look for her keys. She reappeared within seconds with a yellow bag on her shoulder.

Abi's phone hadn't stopped ringing or beeping since we arrived at the hospital, tonight was the launch of her new clothing line. She had been working on the launch for just under a year. There were alot of decisions that needed authorisation from Ab's.

As I watched her talking on the phone, it was at that moment I remembered exactly who I was married to. It's easy getting lost in your own bubble when your wife joins you on tour, you kind of dismiss everyone else around you and just focus on eachother...well that's what we had been doing anyway.

"Abigail Tedder" the doctor called us in, fear crept across Abi's face as she looked up at me "This way please" I grabbed Abi's hand as the Doctor led us into his room "So you understand why you are here today?" Abi nods and looks at me.

"Yeah" my voice shocks me by its pitch so I cough immediately "Yes, for a growth and development scan" I say and he nods to confirm. Abi didn't speak she just got up onto the bed next to the scanning machine. I sat down on the chair beside the bed and put my hand on Abi's thigh. I wanted to tell her everything will be okay, but I honestly don't know at this point. She grabs my hand with both of hers and just leaves it to rest on her thigh, she is shaking.

"Okay Mrs Tedder if you could lift your dress for me" Abi glanced towards me and laughed a little.

"I didn't think this through did I" she smiled weakly, the doctor handed her a paper towel to cover her underwear "My Mom will have a heartattack"

"It's okay I'll tell her you were wearing big ones" I wink at her, Abi now has a smile on her face and her hands don't seem to be shaking anymore.

"Okay this will feel cold..." he squirts some blue jelly on Abi's stomach and then starts the scan "Right let's take a look, oh before I start did you want to know the sexes"

Abi looks at me and I nod "Yes please" she smiles weakly.

"Okay we'll start with this one..." his hand is scanning the right side of Abi's stomach "This baby is a...boy"

YES IT'S A BOY, secretly this was what I wanted to hear. Abi had a huge grin on her face, I knew it was what she wanted to hear too, as she already had Freya "Is he okay?" Abi looked back at the doctor.

"He seems to be the perfect size so far, and I can't see any obvious abnormalities. All his organs are looking just fine" relief fills my body and Abi seems more relaxed "Okay let's take a look at the next one" the Doctor moves the scanner over to the other side "Right here's the head, it is the perfect size. A strong steady heartbeat which is good, all the organs are in the right place. Everything looks good..."

"And the sex?" Abi asks eagerly.

"Oh yes sorry" the Dr replies with a smile "It would seem this little one is a girl, congratulations you have one of each"

Yes! My body rejoices at the news, both the babies are fine and we are having one of each. As I watch the doctor he starts to look a little concerned "Is something wrong?" Abi asks she has also seen his concern.

"Mrs Tedder has anyone ever mentioned anything about a low placenta to you?" The doctor to lured to face us.

"No" Abi wiped the gel from off her stomach "Is it dangerous?"

"No" the doctor realised she was scared "It's not dangerous, just a little lower than we would like it to be. We will just have to monitor you a little more closely to ensure it doesn't cover the cervix"

"What would happen if it did?" Fear flooded my head as I sat and listened to what the Doctor was saying "Would it be dangerous?"

"It could be yes, if it did cover the cervix then it would be impossible for your wife to give birth naturally she would need a cesarean" that doesn't sound too bad, I think to myself as I watch Abi rearrange her dress and spin her legs around so she is now perched on the side of the bed "I'd like to take some blood while I have you here, it's just routine"

"Yeah okay" Abi nods and stands up "Thank you"

"Yeah thanks" I smile as I follow Abi to the door, I shake the doctors hand before leaving.

As we walk down the corridor towards the reception, Abi turns to look at me "A boy and A girl" she grins widely "Wait til we tell the others, we should ring our parents"

"Yeah we should, they'll be made up" I know my mum is going to be over the moon with the news.

I waited while the doctors took some blood from Abi's arm, then we were good to go. We walked towards the exit and Abi let out a cute giggle "Oh look we have friends outside" she was referring to the huge amount of people standing outside the door.

"Ah man you gotta be kidding me, how did they know we were here?" I look outside through the glass windows and cannot see any way out of the hospital without passing through this crowd.

"A nurse probably tweeted" Abi sighed "Maybe we should have let Leroy come with, after all"

"Nah it'll be fine, just stay close" I frown, Abi is right, we could use Leroy right about now. The size of this crowd is crazy.

"You remembered where we parked the car right?" she grinned at me and then laughed. We parked in a huge car park surrounded by about a hundred other cars "Just walk close behind me, just in case they..." she adds as she looks up at me, straight into my eyes.

"If anyone touches your ass, I'll put them in here myself" I frown, meaning the hospital and Abi bites her lip.

"Actually I was going to say they might try and pull me backwards, but aww that's really sweet" she is teasing me, I can see it in her eyes "In a psyco husband kind of way"

"Oh you want me to show you psyco husband" I pull her towards me and then spin her round so her back is against the wall, I can feel her breathing get heavier as I move closer pressing her into the wall. I kiss her aggressively and then take a sudden step back leaving her wanting more "Right come on, I think I can vaguely remember where we parked"

"Vaguely" she chuckled "A crowd of fans and Paps outside, no escape and you can vaguely remember where you parked the car. What could possibly go wrong?"

God she was a cheeky bitch when she wanted to be, I knew instantly she was playing with me. I could see the twinkle in her eyes as she spoke.
