"Mommy! I missed you!"

Agad na sigaw ni Ayler nang makita akong pumasok sa room nila. Pareho na sila ngayong nakaupo.

"Mommy, who's this man beside me? He's so kind po!" Tanong ni Ayler. I looked at Khaizer. Ngumiti lang sya sakin. Mukhang di pa sya nagpapakilala kay Ayler.

"Ayler. You asked me so many times where and who's your daddy, right?" Tanong ko. Tumango naman si Ayler.

"Is he my daddy?" Tanong ni Ayler at tumingin kay Khaizer. "Are you my daddy?" Tanong pa nya kay Khaizer.

"Yes. He's your daddy. His name is Khaizer. Now introduce your self to your father Ayler". Utos ko. Ngumiti naman si Ayler.

"Hello daddy. Ayler po ang name ko. I missed you so much daddy. Tapos ka na po mag-work? Mommy told me na nagwowork ka for me. Thank you daddy".

Khaizer looked at me. "You told him that... "May sasabihin sana sya ngunit di nya na natuloy. Tumango naman ako. "Thank you Wifey". Natigilan ako sa sinabi nya ngunit mas pinili ko nalang na umiwas ng tingin.

"Mommy, I want to sit beside Daddy". Ayler Told me while pouting. I chuckled before carrying him to his dad. Inisod ko na rin palapit ang dextrose na nakakabit sa kanya.

"What's your work daddy?" Ayler asked. "Is it like mommy's work?"

"Yes". Sagot ni Khaizer." Gusto mo rin ba ng ganung trabaho paglaki mo?"

"No! So many papers to read. I love reading book because it can help my knowledge but when I read my mom's paper works, they're all nonsense". We both laugh because of what Ayler said.

"What do you want then?" Khaizer asked. Nawala ang ngiti sa labi ni Ayler at lumungkot ang mukha nito.

"I want to be a teacher daddy. I want to share my knowledge to others. I want to study while teaching". Sagot ni Ayler. Natahimik naman kaming dalawa ni Khaizer.

Hanggang ngayon ay di ko pa rin alam kung bakit sya nagresign sa pagiging  teacher at professor. I missed my days when I'm still a student of Culinary Arts or cookery.

"Yes. You can be a teacher one day and you'll be the most awesome teacher". Sagot ni Khaizer.

"But mommy said that I'm the only heir so ang trabaho ko sa future ay tulad lang ng work nyo po". Malungkot na sagot ni Ayler.

Khaizer looked at me. Pareho kaming tahimik lang. Inilabas ko na lang ang dala kong lunch box at binuksan.

"Ayler do you want this mango?" Tanong ko. Tumango naman si Ayler kaya kumuha ako ng stick at tinusok ang maliit na hati ng mangga bago isubo sa kanya.

"I want that too". Sagot ni Khaizer tumango naman ako at nilapit sa kanya ang lunch box. "My hands are in a bad condition dahil dito ako kinuhaan ng dugo. So feed me".

Wala akong nagawa kundi ang tumusok ulit ng isa pang maliit na hiwa ng mangga bago itapat sa bibig nya. He smile and eat the mango.

"Daddy, are you going to live with us? My grandpa's house are big. You can live with us. My friend's family are living together. Are we going to live together too?" Tanong ni Aylear. Pareho naman kaming muling natahimik ni Khaizer.

"No". Sagot nya. He's smiling at ginulo ang buhok ng anak nya.

What if hindi ako yung wife na tinutukoy ng mga tao? Kaya ba ayaw nyang samin tumira ay dahil sa asawa nya? But why is he still keeping those things? Siguro nakalimutan nya lang na itapon...

"I'm not going to live with you in your grandpa's mansion... but "Tuloy nya pa. He smile and look at me." You're going to live with me in my house".

"You have a big house like grandpa too, daddy?" Tanong ni Ayler at mukhang namamangha. "Yes! We'll live with you daddy! Is that what you earn for working hard?"

"No. But we have a money to buy you books too". Sagot nya. Tuwang tuwa naman si Ayler na tiningnan ako.

"Mommy, daddy will buy me books!" Tuwang tuwang sabi sakin ni Ayler. "Daddy, I want the books about physics. I love physics a lot too. And science... And math... All books!"

"Okay. I'll buy you all those books". Sagot ni Khaizer. "Are you feeling okay now?" Tanong ni Khaizer kay Ayler.

"Yes daddy. That's all thanks to you." Masayang sagot ni Ayler. "Daddy, can we go to the mall and have some fun when we both discharged? We never have a family bonding so let's have one"

"Of course. We will, son". Sagot naman ni Khaizer at tumingin sakin. "It's your mom to decide".

"Can we mom?" Tanong sakin ni Ayler. Tiningnan ko ng masama si Khaizer na nakangiti lang sakin bago tumango.

"Nakausap ko na ang doctor kanina. Pwede na daw kayong madischarge since maayos na naman kayo so Yes. We will". Sagot ko. "Pero hindi tayo magtatagal dahil baka mabinat kayo. Ayaw nyo naman sigurong bumalik ulit dito no?"

"I'm fine to go back here as long as you're the one who will take care of me". Sagot ni Khaizer. Muli ko syang tiningnan ng masama.

"Aba! Kahit bumalik ka dito o dito ka na mamatay wala akong pake sayo no?" Sagot ko. "Kung hindi mo lang iniligtas si Ayler baka di din kita inaalagaan".

"I told you. It's my responsibility to take care of both of you". Sagot nya. Inabot nya ang kamay ko at hinawakan ng mahigpit. "And I told you too. I won't let you go this time. Because you are mine".
