Three days had passed ever since that night, the night she received the biggest insult of her life. She was over it already, her mom was fine, still undergoing treatment with outmost comfort. Her brothers were quite happy with the changes in their menu, there was now good food. One might be wondering how their lives was taking a U-turn, well...Mr. Wallace gave, no he threw onto her lots of cash. Money she couldn't raise even if she was given 10 years. She was now surprised receiving her sac letter from the night club. She had offended a big shot and had to suffer for it. It didn't affect her much because she now had a job. She had been called to an interview by one of the biggest companies in the city. Wallace corporation was going to be a huge stepping point in her life. She had gone of course and was interviewed by a certain woman, the managing director of the company in stead of her boss. I was going to be a personal assistant to God knows who. She was hoping he wasn't grumpy and all but he was. Eleven personal assistants existed before her in just eighteen months. That was how cruel he was, one minute late and you would kiss goodbye to your job. She wished she survived a month with whoever her boss was.
"Gelma abandon that food already you will be late on your first day". Jared said for the umpteenth time that morning.
"She won't silly. She and food would never path ways". Jerry laughed.
They were all by the table having breakfast, a rich breakfast unlike the others they had been having.
"Shut up both of you I still have time". She warned.
Gelma had hit the road already, though caught up in traffic, she had ample time. Gelma had used some of the money to get some sets of working clothes. Though not exorbitant, it was suitable for work. She didn't want to keep ringing the poverty bell every time she stepped out. She was going to be working at the biggest company in town, she needed to pull up at least.
She arrived five minutes before her time.
"Good your early miss Moriaty". The managing director, Nathalie Jonas said as soon as she saw the supposed PA of her boss. "Here are some files you need to work on and pass in his office. Everything you're to do is listed on the first file". As she spoke, her assistant gave her a stack of files. They were heavy and almost covered her eyes.
Her boss's office was on the top floor. He owned the place, and gave a tiny corner to his PA. She didn't mind. The office was still good and nice for her. She had seen it the day of her interview. The boss wasn't around but madam Nathalie showed her around. The boss was living large even in his work place.
Gelma with the stack of files tried walking steadily but with her sight slightly covered, she didn't take notice of the approaching man. He himself was busy on his phone, barely listening to the report his secretary was giving him.
It hit him, that maddening scent but before he could raise his head to see who was before him, they crashed against each other. The files laid scattered on the floor, she hurriedly apologized without sparing him a glance as she was more concerned about the sprawled papers on the floor. Luckily it wasn't so scattered so she could easily know which file each paper belonged to. Her work was interrupted with a loud groan. She starred up at him, 'him'.
"You".
"Shut up". He ordered. It was visible that he was furious, his jaw ticking here and there as he gnashed his teeth and balled his hands into fists.
Nathalie and Romeo had arrived the scene. The duo wore different expressions watching the scene.
Gelma rose up to her feet ready to vent her anger out but her head turned to the side, on the wall she saw a large painting of 'him'. It was then all the cells in her brain rang the alarm... Wallace corporation, Mr. Nathan Wallace. He was the CEO. Could things get any worse.
"What is she doing here?" He faced Nathalie.
"She is your new personal assistant". She answered a little perplexed. Did they know each other?
