She walked into a room, not drinking in its interior or registering what it looked like as she was occupied with her mind. She kept walking until she reached the centre of the huge dark room. She stopped when she spotted a silhouette of a man, her heart stopped beating and her breath hitched immediately the intruder moved from the shade of the long window curtains into the dim light offered by the protruding rays of moonlight. His beautiful face came into view, his enchanting green eyes, his straight blonde hair, swaying to the quiet hurls of the wind.
"Tyler", she whispered. He shouldn't be here. "What are you doing here? Leave". Her last order came off as a plea.
"I can't...especially when you're here, in his territory". He said inching closer.
"Tyler you must leave". She insisted but he gave her deaf ears, taking her soft hands in his as he stepped even closer.
"You know I can't. You now know about me, about you, about us". He whispered close to her left ear.
"Tyler..."
"Shhh" he shushed her and smiled softly. "You and I know that I can't stay away from you". He spoke a breath away from her lips, her body tingled as she reminisced about the past. She watched in slow motion as his lips came down on hers but before they could seal a kiss, he was aggressively torn away from their embrace, the force sending him crashing on a wall.
"How dare you moron". Nathan roared and he pounced on the blonde lad.
"Nathan". She screamed frantically, afraid of the harm he would bring to Tyler. They wrestled but Nathan had the upper hand. She manages to hug him from behind, to cool off his temper. She hoped her touch would affect him. Her sudden act shocked the men, especially Tyler, he became even more furious that she ran to Nathan and not him, Nathan's nerve wrecking smirk threw him off the hook.
"Nathan please...don't". She whispered. She drew an inch back as she felt his body twinge, he turned to face her, and put his palm on her cheek and used his thumb to caress and savor its softness.
"Don't what rosy?" He demanded in a soft voice, the tenderness he was showcasing melted her and she opened up in a fist of tears.
"Don't hurt him...don't hurt Tyler. Please". Her lips trembled as she spoke. He kept caressing her, a smirk breaking through his lips.
No one saw it coming but he swiftly teleported from her hold to Tyler's face and in a millisecond, he slashed the blonde lad with his long black claws, shredding him mercilessly.
"No!" She screamed to the top of her lungs as she watched his bloodied body fall to the floor in a thud. She ran to his body and dropped to her knees, before she could lay a finger on him, his body began disintegrating into tiny pieces of silver, they escaped through an opened window, all she could do was watch in total silence. She starred at the transition emotionlessly, it was clear that Nathan had pulled the last straw.
"What. Did. You. Do?" She asked amidst a series of breaths. "You killed him". She answered the question for him, she was still in a daze.
He didn't say anything to her, instead he strode to the king sized bed of the room and sat at the edge, rearranging his cufflinks. In front of him was a huge mirror, it showed the reflection of him and at the far end, Gelma's, still on her knees and staring into space.
"I left you for a couple of minutes and you did the unthinkable". He drawled, disappointment edged in his tone.
"You keep giving me reasons to kill you". She said dryly.
"What are you waiting there for? It's better I die in your arms than watch another man touch you". He scoffed. "To think that you pleaded for his life".
She shook her head, in disbelief. Was he aware of what he just did? He mercilessly killed Tyler and now he was making this about her? He had this side of him from day one but she had given it a blind eye. Now that she had a lot of conflicting thoughts in her mind, everything was starting to become clear. Nathan was a ruthless demon that was mad over power and wanted everyone to bend to his will. She fell in love with a heartless creature. This was enough reason for her to kill him but no! It turned out she was hellbound in love with him.
She had to leave in order to think straight, to become strong and away from his influence. She rose up from the floor and sauntered to the door, but he materialized before her, trapping her inside.
"Let me go". She said calmly, her eyes wide open with silent threats but he didn't pay heed.
"Over my dead body". He answered her promisingly.
"Nathan if you don't step out of my way..."
He grabbed her hand and placed atop his heart.
"Kill me cause I can't let you go still breathing". He whispered loud enough to hear. "I was a mad man before you came into my life. Now, I am madder and it's because of you".
"Stop...stop this". She groaned, hating the way her body reacted to his words. Her rampant beating heart, the harsh breathing and the butterflies.
"I can't...I know I'm acting out of line...it's because I'm madly in love with you. It's your name before a heart beat".
"Nathan..." she harshly wiped a tear, running down her cheek whilst shaking her head.
"Please let me go...please". She threw herself on his warm, body, surrendering to him, hoping that he would let her go.
"Where would you go to?"
"Somewhere far away, just me and my thoughts". She answered.
"How long?"
"I don't know, till I can get you out of my head". She said, burying her face deeper into the crook of his neck.
"But you made me a promise, few hours ago. You said you won't depart from me". He whispered into her left ear, melancholy laced in his down toned voice. "Again". He added.
