They flew across an ocean before landing on an island that was covered with tall deciduous trees. He put her down gracefully before coming to stand by her. He noticed her shivering from cold and decided to cover shield her from the biting cold using his jacket which he draped round her shoulders.
"Feel better?" He asked her, watching her hair dance to the rhythm of the wind. Few strands of her hair fell on her face, distracting him for a moment. He went on to remove the fringes of hair to the side, revealing a reddened face.
"Heal yourself Gelma". He said averting his eyes from her captivating eyes to her bleeding arm.
"Can I?" She asked curiously.
"You have immense powers my love. You can do anything you want to do". He smirked.
"I don't know how to do it". She confessed, she hadn't an idea how to heal herself.
"What do I get in return for teaching you?" He asked her seriously. Gelma rolled her eyes at him, this was no business negotiation. He had to quit this act of his.
"My salary for the month". She answered him, earning a scoff.
"Don't test me rosy. I'm super temperamental". He warned, taking one step towards her.
"Me". Came her reply.
"I already have that".
There was a moment of silence after he said that. She starred at him wondering what more he wanted from her.
"I need seven words from you my love". He demanded. Nathan was unbelievable. She had never expected him to ask that of her. "Seven words that you will keep for the rest of your life".
The words that graced her lips came from the depths of her heart. From an unknown place yet they were the only words that she found right.
"I will never depart from you again".
He smiled heartily at her.
"Now think you never had a wound or hadn't been bleeding". He ordered and a picture of her hand before the attack appeared in her mind. As she opened up her eyes, her hand was back to itself, as though the blood and wound never existed.
"Thanks".
"Anything for you". He smirked and for the first time , his smirk wasn't sinister. He whipped his head to the side, as though he had heard a twig snap.
"Dimitri Romeo".
"Jonathan Wallace". Romeo revealed himself, he had been hiding behind a tree for some time.
"My mansion was attacked this night. It seems I must leave this place to Thenas". Nathan began. "Borrow me a cigar". Romeo threw a box of cigarettes to him which he caught between his fingers and hastily pulled one out. With a snap of his finger, the stick was lit. He took a long drag before releasing the smoke out, to the other side away from Gelma, but the smoke landed right in Romeo's face.
"I had it burnt. A good way to declare my death and that of my beloved". He said casually, while Gelma's blue eyes became as wide as saucers. What!?
Romeo raised his brow in understanding.
"When the war is over wouldn't you love to return?" He asked.
"I have many places to dwell in my friend. Hell is also in need of a king". Nathan answered, blowing smoke from his lips, his eyes a dark shade of red.
"As you say your majesty". Romeo gave him a light bow.
"You should stay well my friend. Tell Nathalie not to worry about me". Nathan said and dropped the cigarette, before stepping on it. "You are a remarkable business man. I don't have to worry about being broke".
Romeo smiled at him before disappearing from their sights, running in his vampiric speed.
"I can't be dead. What about my family?" Gelma asked.
"We'll take them to Thenas. There are some humans there". Nathan answered swiftly.
"Thanks".
"Follow me". He said and then lead the way. "Be careful with your steps. These roots are merciless". He added. She silently nodded and kept her eyes down so she wouldn't trip.
"This can't be the way to hell Nathan". She broke the silence.
"So you want me to take you there?" It came off as a statement than a question. She was a holy creature, a fae and he was the epitome of darkness and destruction but here she was ready to follow him to hell. He halted, since her eyes were casted down, she hadn't noticed and so crashed right into his back, her arms wounded themselves round his waist.
"Gelma Moriaty you tempt me a lot". She could feel his body vibrating and her heart began racing.
"I..." she was flipped and pushed to a tree. He caged her between his hands, his face inches away from hers. His lips hovered about her pink supple lips.
"You have captured my heart miss Moriaty". He said, tilting his head slightly and claiming her lips in a short but affectionate kiss. "I love you". He whispered, his hot breath caressing her lips. Her heart froze for a while. It was as if time had ceased. She knew he loved her but hearing it from him was inexplicable.
"Nathan I..."
"Shhh" he whispered, placing his finger across her lips. "Only I get to confess tonight. Don't steal my moment".
Gelma smiled heartily. This man was full of surprises.
"From the very first day I set my eyes on you, my heart beat, after a long time Gelma". He began. "I was in denial of my feelings. I found a good reason to chase you away only for you to show up before me again. You were daring and feisty. I set rules and became the very one to break them. I swore to protect you especially from myself but I couldn't. You set my soul on an unquenchable fire".
They starred at each other, their eyes communicating.
"I have a beautiful house at the center of the island. We're close but need to walk further. I'm sure you need to rest from today's drama". He grinned earning a smack on his shoulder.
If he was talk about drama, it was all his doing. He was the orchestra of the day, how was she going to rest with him by her? She thought. He had openly shown affection towards her at the office, revealed his vampiric side, made love to her, she found out he was a demon, the heir to hell's throne, she confirmed she wasn't human but a powerful fae, they got attacked and they escaped the mansion with wings she never knew he had, she was supposed to be dead following his plans and now he had confessed his feelings to her all today. What else was going to happen before midnight, it was just few minutes away.
They arrived at the centre of the island. It was a vast meadow with a beautiful house on it. Hand in hand, they got in and walked straight into the living room. Strange enough, the room was lit, and two woman sat on a long couch, facing the burning fireplace. One of them was the lady she saw with Nathan few hours ago, she didn't know the other woman but she held a striking resemblance to Nathan though Nathan didn't have platinum hair. There was definitely going to be more drama tonight.
"Azazel". Axelia hissed, it was evident in her countenance that she was displeased. Her eyes narrowed at the intertwined hands of the fae and her son.
