"Personal assistant?" He asked with raised brows, his face void of any emotion. The only thing that served as evidence to his anger was his jaw ticking, and his clenched fists. He starred coldly at Nathalie, she gulped and then starred at Romeo to help her out but the man was still in a daze.
Before she could answer or explain herself, he spoke first, not to her but to his supposed personal assistant.
"I want you in my office ASAP". He ordered and walked out leaving the stunned trio behind.
" What just happened?" Marcus, Nathan's secretary whispered to the hearing of Romeo and Nathalie. Gelma was unable to hear his question as she never had their advanced sense of hearing.
"And why do I feel this sudden hunger?" He rubbed his stomach. "Her blood calls my fangs". He continued.
"Dare go an inch close to her and risk been burnt to ashes". Romeo warned.
"Who is she?" Nathalie asked Romeo through telepathy.
"A dangerous addiction". Came his vague answer.
"I won't suck her dry no need to be worried, who is she?" Nathalie insisted.
"Nathalie we have no idea. All I know is she is dangerous, just like 'her'".
"She disappeared a long time ago".
"Who knows? It might be her, her reincarnation". Romeo shrugged and left the two pondering minds to continue in their business.
Gelma had finished picking up her files. It was time for her go and see the devil from three nights ago. She mustered up courage and walked up to his door. Before she could place a knock, she heard his deep baritone voice. She wondered if he had a camera at his door. Could he see her?
"Good morning Mr. Wallace". She thought it wise to act professional and forget they had any rough edges.
"Why are you here?" He asked, he was calm, the calm before the storm. He was alike to a promising volcano. She didn't want him to erupt when she was still before him. She wasn't ready for such episodes. His clenched fists did not escape her notice. Why were his muscles ticking and clenching this way?
"To be you personal assistant". She answered earning a dark chuckle full of malice.
"You are so desperate to be with me huh? Do I entice you that much? I bet you had erotic dreams about me". He smirked.
She heard him, anger building up inside of her. What audacity he had to utter such dirty things about her. She wasn't going to sit down and watch him say more rubbish about her.
"You are sick and have gone bunkers Mr. my foot". She lashed out at him letting her anger at at full force. The anger bottled up three nights ago had surfaced also.
"You are the one lusting over my body pervert. You hate it that you left a gorgeous treat. I bet you're rethinking your decision on doing virgins".
"If you utter another word, you're out". He threatened.
"You're being hesitant Mr. Wallace. What's stopping you? My pussy?" She almost regretted saying that. She wasn't a vulgar person. What will Jesus think of her?
He groaned furiously, standing up on his feet.
"Say that again and I'll drive into your core deeper than you can remember".
"Empty threats Mr. Wallace. You don't do virgins". She dared utter without an ounce of fear.
He bowed his head down in contemplation. He was surely losing his wits. He was a split second to transforming, his other side was becoming more and more overbearing. His thirst was driving him mad".
"Leave". His deep baritone voice rang making chills to run down her spine. That alone was enough to shut her up. She still stayed rooted clenching her fists. She wasn't ready to back down yet.
"Get. Out." He roared. She silently walked out of his office, her normal fearful self returning from the ground it was buried in.
She clutched the front of her blouse quite petrified. The fear he had instilled in her was overwhelming. She just walked to her desk, wanting to erase every image from that bloody encounter. She tried concentrating on the work assigned to her but her attempts went futile.
She watched Nathalie and Another man she hadn't seen except for this morning when she did the most terrible mistake of her life by bumping into Mr. Wallace, enter his office.
"Nathan!" Nathalie sounded frantic, she watched his black eyes turn different shades of red. He was even wobbling. He crashed into her arms and she helped him to his couch. The state he was in was bad. Very bad.
"Nathan you can take from me okay". Her voice came off pleadingly and soft. An expression she could show only to him, Nathan.
He shook his head in denial. Everyone knew how much respect Nathan held for Nathalie. To him they were family. He refused to drink from her.
His fangs had protruded fully, his claws visible and he had grown even bigger and muscular.
"No way Nathan". She exclaimed. "He would go berserk Romeo. What do we do?" She was confused on what step to take in order to solve this issue. No one wants Nathan to go berserk, trust me.
Before they could think of what to do, he disappeared. Hey it isn't strange for the king to teleport. That power was unique to him, that to of fire. His flames were no ordinary flames. Their king was that powerful and dreadful. Nathan was no monarch to gamble with.
The duo stayed behind watching at his nothingness.
"Where do you think he must have gone to?" She questioned even though she had an idea of where he could have gone.
"Nathalie we all know where he goes to when she gets him furious. The same place she left him". Nathalie unconsciously clenched her hands until her knuckles were white.
"Nathalie you must move on. She might be back". He said after starring at her clenched fists for a while pondering on what to say.
"He has suffered for so long Rom. Why does he not want to let go?" She screamed the last sentence out finally letting out her frustration.
"They were meant for each other. You don't expect him to stay away from his mate do you?" Romeo spoke with calm. He hardly lost his cool, only Nathan could make him lose his composure.
"She caused him pain. She doesn't deserve him". She stated.
"Nathan should be the one to decide. Don't let your emotions get the best of you Nathalie. If you treat her indifferently, you will have to face Nathan". Romeo spoke with finality and left. It was now her choice to do the right thing or not.
