Elisha held her in his arms, not looking away even for a second as he walked into the palace grounds. The vampire guards who stood outside, saw him carrying their princess, they bowed in allegiance to the dead princess. He kept moving until he stepped into the royal room. As he arrived, Nathan made his way in too, already aware of the current situation. Behind him was Gelma who looked taken aback, she scurried into the room, her eyes teary as she gazed at Olive's lifeless body. Elisha laid her down on a table so carefully as though she could break from the slightest mishandling.
"And Sybil?" Gelma demanded, her eyes hardening with sheer anger.
"Dead". Came his reply. The table was positioned at the centre of the throne room. Dakuna, came in seconds after, they all surrounded the table where she lay. They all moved their heads to the door, except for Elisha whose utmost concern was the lifeless woman, her face white and lacking color, her pink and plush lips were now cracked and purple.
"Where did you go?" Nathan demanded as he saw the white haired demon cat walking in. After he had done the murder trick on Elisha, she had quite the scene.
"I was summoned by Axelia". She responded.
"Axelia? How dare you. You are answerable to me not Axelia". He growled. "Except you are her minion, probably a mole from hell". As he said that, he invoked his superior powers, buckling her down to the floor. She showed no sign of compliance, instead she appeared defiant.
"How much does she know?" He demanded but she didn't reply. "You should be familiar with imprisonment and torture as you had been Draco's toy". He simply said and in a flash, two vampire warriors appeared and took her forcefully. "You desire being enslaved. From Draco to Axelia. People never know who the better master is". He chuckled. "There is nothing new under the sun now is there? I don't need you again". He added. "If you attempt to escape, your head will roll".
She was dragged out aggressively leaving the room dead silent.
"When will she be buried?" Gelma broke the quiet, it was dawn already and it was unusual for them to bury her in the early hours.
"We will wait till midnight. Make an announcement, the princess of Thenas will be laid to rest at midnight". He said and walked out. Gelma starred at Olive's corpse for a long lasting moment before sprinting away.
"It seems the entire house of Thenas will be wiped out from the surface of the earth". She heard his baritone voice in the corridors, he materialized before her. She was torn between feeling sorry or just.
"She didn't deserve to die. It is more sad that her predicaments were stemmed from my existence. Iblis wouldn't have cursed her if she didn't come to rescue me". She said, guilt clouding her mind.
"She was always ready to save whosoever was dear to her, she did so for me and for you". He tried cheering her up.
"Could I exchange your soul for hers?" She asked him, he smirked at her question.
"Hell isn't that considerate".
"You are the heir to hell's throne, you could pull some strings, bring her back to the living world". She argued on.
"I can and cannot". He said, taking her hands in his.
"What do you mean?" She posed.
"Olive might be in heaven. You can't use my soul for an exchange. Plus my soul will cease to be in existence the moment you take my life. I'll be casted into oblivion, never to rise again, that's what happens to high ranking demons".
This piece of news was surprising. Oblivion?
"So I won't be able to see you in the afterlife?" She asked, dread seeping into her.
"Sadly no". Came his carefree answer, taking her aback. "Don't be worried, the fact that you changed your mind and stayed by my side is enough".
"I..."
"I know you are back to your original self and would likely be defiant, I know what is running through my brother's mind. Avoid his den". Nathan said with no much ado and disappeared.
