Gelma, turned her gaze from the vampire to Nathan, her eyes mirroring confusion, she didn't want to overthink what the messenger just said as it could be anyone taken by a witch and not her family.
"You may leave". He ordered. The vampire vanished into thin air, leaving the room heated than before.
"Iscah lead the way to the cave". Came Nathan's order.
"I am going on a solo rescue trip into that cave Nathan". Olive said.
"Apart from Elisha, there are some newbies don't tell me you can save an entire nation".
"Where do you think you're going to?" Axelia inquired.
"Mother if you want to help, kindly follow if not, then return back to hell".
"The nerve of you". She hissed. Everyone was gathering around in a circle, so they could teleport together. Nathan kept his gaze on the blue eyed damsel he held affections for as she remained rooted to the floor not wanting to join them.
"What is going on". She whispered into his ears, as he leaned closer.
"Vaya". He whispered on the side of her neck before inching away. "Trust me". He added before tugging her hand forward but she didn't bulge.
"You are the last person I should trust". She spoke, gritting her teeth. He could feel holes on his forehead, owing to her icy glare.
"You must until you take my life. I'm still very much useful Gelma". He said with a lop sided smile, mirth palpable in his eyes.
"Nathan stop playing". She warned.
He took a deep breath and they both starred at each other, their eyes communicating. She followed him, her hands in his, she looked calm but her heart was trashing. Her mind was swirling with contrasting thoughts. Nathan tried easing her internal tumult by drawing circles on her hand, using his thumb.
They stood in a ring, ready to teleport to the cave where they would find the conniving red haired and free her captives.
In a swoosh, they materialized in a very dark place, that became lit seconds after they arrived with fire, burning from torches and candelabra.
"I don't feel a single soul in this cave". Olive said, they others stayed quiet, they shared the same thoughts. No one was in the cave.
Nathan began exploring the interior, the others behind him, checking for any foul play. The witch must have concealed her presence in the cave with those of her captives hence, sensing them was impossible.
They came to a certain room, an iron chair with hanging chains stood at the centre.
"Eli was here". Olive spoke through her teeth. It was clear that she was trying so hard to contain her anger. She still needed her reasonable self to think properly.
Nathan looked at the wall, behind the chair and narrowed his eyes. He side glanced at Gelma, she must have seen him gazing intensely at the wall. He smirked and turned to face the others.
"We are going to Thenas tonight". He declared, while the others starred at him quizzically, they were here to search for the red witch and her captives what was going through his head?
"Why?" Olive was ready to disagree with him if he hadn't a valid reason.
"That's where they are". He answered.
"What? She knew we were coming? Isn't that impossible?" She couldn't believe it. Why did Sybil have to be so smart and cunning.
"Someone told her". He said, drawing a cigar from his pocket nonchalantly, meanwhile the others were astonished with what he just said. Who could have betrayed them?
"I could have suspected one of you but the only person who knew about the plan and...was with her..."
"I know where you're driving at. It can't be him. He would never betray you". Olive defended.
His eyes twinkled as a smile broke through his lips.
"Of course he wouldn't. He was simply building trust". He remarked, getting them even more confused.
"I don't get you".
"You will when we get there". He said and lit up his cigarette, took a long drag and released the smoke.
It was time for action.
They all appeared before a dark huge castle, it looked ancient and had a sense of beauty. On the fore pillars of the castle, stood well carved dragons with wings that cascaded down. It was eye catching, the design and architecture. Gelma had never stepped foot into the royal castle before, it was her first time seeing it.
At the threshold of the castle stood two figures. The red haired witch was cladded in a revealing robe, her honey colored skin was visible, her curves came off, her overall look was appealing but it was an eyesore to Olive. She wore a provocative smile, as she stayed focused on her mortal enemy.
Elisha wore a black satin robe, and a golden belt round his waist. He didn't appear as a captive or someone held against his will. The sight before Olive's eyes was nauseating, what was she seeing? Elisha with that snitch?
"It can't be". She whispered whilst shaking her head in denial.
