Gelma kept her eyes glued to the cars about them paying no attention to the man whose glare was drilling holes into her skull. Furious about her nonchalance, he yanked her towards him. She fell on his sturdy chest, her face inches from his. He wrapped his hands round her waist, his eyes on her blue darting eyes. While she was battling her heart beat rate, she studied his black eyes, mirth dancing at the back of his eyes. She garnered fury from God knows where, she tried freeing herself from his strong hold but he was an immobile wall that couldn't be shaken. She was now at his mercy. He smirked at her seeing that defeated look on her face.
"You are so good at inviting problems on yourself". He grinned. "Well that means more punishment"
Her eyes went wide as she registered the meaning of his words. At first she hadn't known because he didn't give any dirty expression but his eyes were raking her body. She became even more angry with the way he was starring at her.
"Let me go". She tried wiggling her self from his grip but her attempts went futile.
"Be still". He hissed, venom coating his voice.
His gaze had settled on her neck, he couldn't take his eyes off her sweet spot, he licked his lower lip, probably imagining himself sucking her neck, savoring her sweet scented blood. His eyes darted to her supple lips, they were alluring. She starred at his black eyes, lust vivid in his eyes and an unknown emotion, she couldn't decipher what it was but it made him look lethal. He gazed at her like a predator eying his prey, she was afraid he was going to eat her up.
"Gelma". He called huskily, his gruff voice eliciting some emotion in her. She felt a pull down her stomach, her butterflies at war.
She had to stop him if she wanted to get out of this alive. When your boss is as hot as fuck, you find it difficult to remain sane. Things get even worse when he starts flirting with you.
Just when he was about crashing his lips on hers, a car from no where, was accelerating towards them. Gelma was scared out of her wits knowing she was going to die because it happened so fast but the very next second, she was now behind Nathan's back, his backside acting as a shield from the impact of the collision between the car and his fist. She hadn't seen him stopping the car with his fists but was still stunned seeing that they were still alive and had not yet been crushed by the car. She came off off the safety of his back and moved to the front, shocked by what she had seen, she staggered backwards. Nathan's fists were covered with his own blood but she saw no wounds. The effect of his fist had caused a depression on the bonnet of the car.
"Nathan". She whispered in fright. She came to him, trying to check on him but he remained still, his eyes burning with rage. She heard him call Elisha's name and in less than a minute, Elisha was present with a car, different from the one they left with. She was beyond confused. Nathan dragged her into the car.
"My place". He ordered fury evident in his command.
She didn't register what he had just said in her mind and so was clueless about where they were going to. The car was running at bullet speed, it didn't scare her. She was fine with it. She just wanted to get home as soon as possible. In less than ten minutes, they were in front a huge black gate.
"Mr.Wallace?" She faced him with rounded eyes. Where were they?
He kept silent until they rode in. He opened her side of the car so she could come down but she remained seated.
"Where am I Mr. Wallace?"
"Shut up and get down". He groaned. The rage in his eyes were palpable, she swallowed. It was better to follow his every word though the anger in him wasn't directed towards her.
She obeyed, choosing to keep her questions to herself. She followed him in and she was greeted by a cozy living room with a burning fire place. She felt at home because of the warmth that welcomed her.
"Follow me". He ordered when he noticed that she had stopped walking and was starring at the fire place.
She looked at him, he was half way the stairs. She followed him quietly. The questions were hitting her head crazily, she didn't know what to do. Her mouth had a mind of its own and went ahead and posed a question.
"Why am I here?" He paused and turned to stare at her.
"Just follow me". He insisted but her feet refused to take another step.
"I have a home to go to". She stated, getting him more angry.
"This is your home henceforth".
"Excuse me!" She shouted. Today had been a roller coaster of emotions for her and he had been the centre of it all.
"If you want to remain here(on the stair case), stay but know that you are not allowed to leave without my permission". He declared and left.
Was her mind playing games with her or had she been hearing the actual truth? She was not going to succumb to such nonsense. She was a grown woman and had a life of her own. No one was going to dictate to her how she would live her life. Ever since that psycho devil got into her life, her life had taken a different turn. It was upside down and she didn't want to live on that way.
