It was 1am, and the night club was booming with music. People were banging to the music, lewd activities were going on at every corner. Nathalie sat in a secluded room that had a few people who were quite reserved and mannered than those ones at the ground floor who were lasciviously grinding on each other's bodies. She sat on a plush couch, drinking herself to stupor. She cared less about her surroundings and the looks she was getting. She didn't pay attention to the man that had his eyes on her, eyes full of lust. He approached her with a sinister smirk. He sat by her, and wrapped his arm round her waist, pushing her body towards him.
"Hey there beautiful". He grinned wickedly.
"Who are you?" She starred at him quizzically.
"Prince Charming". He chuckled lightly, causing her to frown.
"I don't want you, let me go". She drawled, she was already intoxicated by the wine.
He tilted his head to the side so he could kiss her lips. Before he could brush his lips on hers, he felt a tight grip on his throat, he was thrown far away from her. The impact sent him crashing on a wall, he found it hard to stand on his feet again.
While he was still recuperating from the sudden crash, he was clutched by his collar. The man could see a killing intent in the eyes of his attacker. He was petrified for he had never seen a man so intimidating and domineering.
"I will chop off your disgusting lips if you ever attempt touching what is mine". Romeo said, his gray eyes flickering red.
He let the man go and strode towards Nathalie, every one who was present watched the strange man with dread in their eyes. He grabbed her by her arm and pulled her out of the place. He kept pulling her, ignoring her tantrums. She kept hitting him so he would let her go.
"I said let me go!" She scolded, snatching her arm from his firm hold, as they reached his car.
He ground his teeth in anger, trying to contain his rage so he would not do something irrational.
"You know you're a pain in the ass". He growled at her but she didn't flinch.
"Well you shouldn't have come". She told him, fury palpable in her eyes. He starred at her incredulously.
"You need me Nathalie, I am the one you can't live without". He said.
"What?" She sounded broken, he took in a deep breath and held her shoulders but she flung them away. She furiously went into the car, not uttering a single word afterwards. He raked his hands through his raven hair, owing to his frustration.
While he was driving, he couldn't keep his eyes steady on the road, they were drawn to her peaceful face. How angelic she looked when asleep, he smiled to himself.
He drove them to his place, carried her out of the car, bridal style and took her to his room. He laid her on his king sized bed, and tucked her under a blanket so she wouldn't feel cold. She was a vampire and so wasn't affected by the cold but he chose to act caring as the humans did to the ones they loved.
He went into his kitchen and opened the fridge, in there were cans of blood. He gulped almost all of them, he was restless and his mind was swirling with images of Nathalie. He remembered all the time they spent together in Thenas, they were children then, having the best childhood moments. She depended on him for everything. He thought he saw her same way she did, she use to call him brother and it irked him sometimes. When she met Nathan, his feelings were conflicting and his jealousy was getting the best of him, then he knew he loved her but she never felt same for him. He tried impressing her and being the support she needed but that didn't work.
He wanted her to realize she was wasting time loving someone who was in love with another and so he became hostile towards her, it seemed his hostility affected her or maybe it was her desperation for Nathan that made her clingy that night. Even the night he had kissed her. He wanted her to love him deeply and choose him over anything else.
