"G-GIRLFRIEND..." Bulong niya habang gulat pa rin ang ekspresyon at tinuro niya ako, bago ituro rin ang sarili niya. She opened her mouth but is lost for words.

I gently squeezed her hand and nodded my head to reassure her that I am not kidding with what I said. I smiled a little when the moonlight reflected on her gorgeous angelic face, as though she's finally tamed after a long time of being misunderstood and treated in a cruel manner.

"W-Wait---I'm... it made me weak, baby..." Nanginginig na napahawak siya sa akin nang saktong makaalis si Tita at nang harapin ko siya ay kusa na siyang bumagsak ng pagkakayakap sa akin!

"E-Eve!" Pagtawag ko sa kan'ya sa gulat at inalalayan siya dahil nanginginig talaga siya. "Bakit?" Nag-aalalang tanong ko dahil para siyang namumutla ngayon.

"I'm just... oh, my Heavens. I think I should change my belief now." Nanginginig na huminga siya at mahigpit na niyakap ako. "I-I'm so happy..." Bulong niya sa tainga ko kaya niyakap ko siya pabalik.

I let out a soft giggle and held her gently in my arms. "Baka himatayin ka pa, Eve."

"I'm actually on the verge of it." She chuckled nervously and tried to stand on her own. Halatang hindi siya nagbibiro kaya pinasakay ko na siya sa kotse na dala niya dahil hindi ko naman siya kayang buhatin. "Is it for real, love?" Masayang tanong niya ulit kaya nakangiting tumango ako sa kan'ya.

Her tone sounds lively; it is full of hope and happiness and her chocolate brown eyes sparkles with the same happiness in her gentle aura. Her unexpected reaction to what happened brought a sudden feeling of warmth that reached my heart.

"Hindi naman ako magbibiro sa gano'ng bagay, Eve." Nilapit ko ang sarili sa kan'ya at magaan siyang hinalikan sa labi. Her eyes are still showing me the words and emotions that her mouth cannot say. "I want us together. Gusto kitang makasama." Paglilinaw ko habang hawak siya sa kamay.

"I will take care of you." She gently cupped my cheeks and leaned herself forward. I felt her warm minty breathe on my face. "I'll give you the best treatment that you deserve. Polaris, love, you are everything I asked for to be with..." She whispered with full sincerity, and I can't help but to adore her even more.

"I will do the same." Sambit ko at bahagyang ngumiti sa kan'ya. "I'll court you as well, even if we're already inside a relationship."

A relationship must never be one-sided, and Evion deserves to be treated properly, and be treated with the best. With me, she is safe, as I am to her.

Gumapang ang kamay niya pababa sa baywang ko para yakapin ako. "Let's be better, hmm?"

"For us?" She asked and I nodded my head without hesitation and rested my forehead on her, knowing that this is the start of something that will last.

"For us."

IT WAS at the moment that I decided to to stand up for the both of us. I knew that I have to, and I want to. Masaya ako sa desisyon na ginawa ko. It feels light and warm inside. It feels right to be with her. I feel happy.

She deserves the best treatment as well, and we're very much willing to do it for each other. I'm not going to let go of her hand this time. I'll hold it as tight as I can.

For us.

I'm glad that she gave me the decision to it, and never pressured me to decide immediately. I've been thinking carefully about it as I don't want to be impulsive again when making a decision.
