"Ow..ow..ow..ow..,easy on the hand." I said when her grip tightened. She glared at me with red eyes and it was kind of cute.

"Tu as fait ça à moi et aux tiens en te plaignant !" (You did this to me and you're complaining.)

She screamed again and held onto my hand even tighter.

"Okay,Claire..." The male doctor said. "No no,let a lady handle this." I said.
Claire looked at me while gasping for air. "Elron!" She screamed.

I stopped talking after the doctor was replaced.
"I'll need you to push for me,Claire." The doctor said gently.

I held onto her hand and kissed it while whispering encouraging words.

"I can't. It hurts too much!" She cried.
I held her hand again and said "Claire,you're a strong girl,you've experienced worse than this but you still pulled through. I believe in you."
She looked at me with teary eyes and tried one last time.

I saw a head of black hair pop out and then the whole body.
"Congratulations Claire,it's a boy!"

A boy? It's a boy!

Claire was given the child and she looked at it with teary eyes.
"I'm so proud of you." I said to her.

She smiled at the little bundle in her arms.
"He looks like me." I joked.

"We'll have to clean him." The nurse said before taking the baby.
She walked away and we were left in the room.
"I'll go and tell mom. Just rest,okay?" I kissed her forehead and left.

"For a premature baby,he's pretty strong." I heard someone say when I opened my eyes.
I looked at my flat belly and remembered what had happened.
I couldn't believe that I what I had just experienced.

It had been two months since Lukas' birth and things had been going on smoothly for me.

"Mom,it's hard to explain my feelings towards Elron." I told my mother and she smiled at me.

"It's called love. Claire,I know you're new to this but you do have a kid with him." She said and handed me a saucer with a cup.

"I know but it's still weird." I told her and she still had the weird smile on her face.

"Just tell him how you feel and all will be well." She hugged me.
Initially,she was scared of living alone because she thought Felix would come for her. But as time went on,all her fears dissipated with the wind.

"Okay,.." I said when my phone began to ring. It was Elron.

"Um...how do I change his diaper?" He asked. I blushed a bit before chuckling and assuring him I'd be right over.

"Okay." He said and cut the call.

I hugged my mother and told her I had to leave. She nodded and hugged me back.

When I got home, the house was messy and Lukas was giggling on his changing board while Elron leaned against a wall.

"You're here?" He asked and hugged me. His hair was matted with sweat and baby powder and his shirt was damp with sweat and milk.

"Sit down. I'll handle it." I told him before pointing over to the stool in the nursery.
