POV: 3rd Person
Ricky has been watching Jiwoong - a Senior - from afar for the past few weeks since he transferred to Rose High. Everyone stares at Ricky upon laying eyes on him, but Jiwoong, as he came into the school with Ricky right in front of his face, didn't even look at him.
The older was shorter than him, angelic soft but handsome face (people swear his jawline could actually cut you) and an amazing character.
Ricky wouldn't say before Jiwoong was his type. Awkward with bad humor, older and with a clumsy attitude but with a totally opposite look. Jiwoong was actually more of a scaredy cat than what most would take from his appearance.
The Junior watches as the older walks by one day and decides that he might've caught feelings for the older who literally never looked at him once. This type of challenge was calling him. Don't get him wrong, he likes the attention he's given by others, but something about how Jiwoong probably doesn't even know his name or looked at him once had ticked something inside of his heart.
He wants Jiwoong.
And so that was how he'd been slipping in secret admirer letters with black and gold lining envelopes with a rose stamp on it into Jiwoong's locker.
It's been going on for about a month until Jiwoong finally rights back, just a small note put in a nicely hand-made envelope. Jiwoong has a knack for folding things neatly (Ricky has noticed the older also liked cleaning).
To: My Secret Admirer.
Hey, I'm Jiwoong, though I guess you already know that. I've been wondering why you've been writing notes like these to me. I'm glad you take a liking to me, but I'm not sure I'll really be able to fit your standards or anything - focus on your studies and graduate.
This isn't a rejection, I just hope you get over me soon, I don't think I'll be your fit.
- Sincerely,
Not-Good-Enough, Kim Jiwoong.
Is Jiwoong actually serious?
Ricky reads the note over 20 times to get it in his head, maybe he read it wrong because he's Chinese and his Korean isn't actually that good (though he makes sure all of his spellings and grammar in Jiwoong's notes were good).
So he writes the letter back furiously, his handwriting a bit messy and didn't do any spell checks before putting it in his usual envelopes and slips it back into Jiwoong's locker - don't ask him how he knew the code - and left.
Dear Jiwoong-Sunbaenim.
You are the most bautiful, wonderful person I ever seen. You're in no way bad or not good for me. You're even beter than me, too good. But I can't help myself but fall for you already.
Please, let's met somewere when you're ready. I'm asking you out on a date so I culd show you how much I like you.
Fro: Your Secret Admirer.
(^ Spelling mistakes here were intended)
It's only a couple of days later that Jiwoong musters up the courage to write back. Ricky saw him read the letter, and Ricky saw how he didn't look back at his locker until today. Taking out a piece of notebook paper like he usually does and writes it right against his locker's door.
