Po x Thame: {First Love} [F]

POV: 3rd Person

  Thame - well, Thame is completely hopeless.

  He's scared coming into his first ever relationship, especially when he likes Po so much, it aches to even be around him for longer than a minute. He's supposed to be strong, but he can't bring himself to because his legs go all jelly and his stomach goes all fluttery, and it's all wrong!

  Thame's supposed to be the one who's taking the first step, but so far, it's always been Po asking him if he's okay with something before doing it. He wants to say no so he could be the one to say it, but whenever it comes to the manager... he just nods with his heart thumping against his chest.

  Po has been his first love, since they've met whether he knew it or not at the time, and it's scary.

  The idol wants to reach, but he's too scared of the rejection that might come and the sting of it.

  Everything is so new to him, and if rejection was really as scary as it sounded, Thame doesn't think he'll be able to withstand it if Po left him because he did something wrong. So, he fumbles. He messes up his words, and he's making a fool of himself instead of kissing Po on the cheek and hugging him or something.

  "Ai'Thame." Po waves in front of his face, eyebrows furrowed in a type of worry that makes Thame feel bad. "Why are you frowning? What's wrong?" Without even noticing until a beat later, his hands are in Po's big, rougher ones.

  The older always checks up on him like this, and all he can say is speak the truth, even if he feels embarrassed or ashamed. Like a little kid being unable to lie, he spills it all. "I- I'm scared, P'.." He confesses at last into the silence. "Everything is so new, and-.. I don't know what to do. I want to be the one to take the first step, but I'm scared of you running away."

  A first relationship is always scary to younger people like Thame, and Po understands that. He's been in a relationship before and while he was in a relationship as a teenager, the anxious feeling never goes away, but he knows what he needs to do to ease himself through it, and his partners.

  "Teerak-na," Po doesn't say words of endearment often because he thinks he's too old to be saying them, but when he does, Thame feels everything all over the place. "You don't have to worry, nothing you do will scare me off," a sigh into the soft wing of the Bangkok skyline, "you can always tell me what you want, you know that?"

  "But I-.. What if you really don't like it?"

  "Like what I've always said to you," Thame can remember every new interaction being the same question of 'is this okay?' or 'are you comfortable with this?', "I'll always tell you if I don't like it. And you can always tell me if you don't like something, too." Po always had a strong belief of a symbiotic relationship. To be able to tell each other things without being scared. To not be pushed and to not push.

  "Promise me you'll tell me, right?"

  "I promise, don't worry, okay?" He takes Po's pinky into his hand, and once they make the pact, Thame feels a lot better than he had been for the past few days.

  The idol takes in a large breath, diving in. "C-can I kiss you, P'?" They haven't ever kissed yet, and it makes Thame's scared. He knows he won't be able to kiss as well as making kitty-poses for cameras and doing flying kisses, so he prepares himself to take the older man's lead.

  "Of course,"

  He takes Po's neat collar in his hands, and he fumbles into the kiss as he moved forward. While it's probably the worst kiss the manager's had in his entire life, it was the best thing for Thame. The younger man is happy to take Po's lead, and ease into his warmth.

  Arms wrap around his waist and pull him close, and Thame is embarrassed to see what happens to himself after one kiss. "Oh- I- sorry.. I-" His face flushes red and he closes his thighs.

  "If you'd like.. we can go to the car." It's a far ride down the elevator, but Thame gets to situate himself on Po's thigh.

  Thank God the windows are super tinted and have curtains..
