Taxi Driver

Context: Within the year that they were given their time off, you meet Doki, a taxi driver. What at first was a single ride, became a natural occurrence. Doki is an ex-military who drives a taxi and goes off for hours on end with his gang of taxi-friends, and you.. a Seoul University student with soft pale skin and pen-creases on your hands. It's a wonder to his friends when they notice him disappearing off to nowhere after his missions.

POV: 2nd Person

Well, there are no secrets that can pass to the only female member of their team, Goeun. And she, of course, with her sharp eyes, has noticed something different about Doki ever since they came back together as a group.

Doki isn't the type to be on his phone, and while he doesn't use it a lot, he uses his phone more often than he has before. Which, this wouldn't be a problem within their work to communicate - but.. he's using it outside his job.

It makes sense, he has the right to use his own phone. But the way he taps is rapid, and his mannerisms are all different. If Goeun focused in on him enough, she could tell he's fighting back a smile.

So, of course, she has to investigate - and what's better than to drag the rest of her friends with her? Doki can't keep a secret to himself! Especially if so many things has changed over one year and he might even have a lover. God knows Doki needs one.

"You look so cute," you squeeze his cheeks, smiling down at the short-haired man who flushed under your affections. "It's a shame you're matching with Goeun, I want to share with you, too." For whatever it is that Doki has been up to, he has to match and fake-marry his friend, who of course, he shares no feelings towards.

"It's so unfair, I begged you to even have a matching bracelet, and you won't do it." In whatever case, somehow, you have never managed to actually meet Doki's friends. They probably don't know about this relationship, but.. it'd be out in some other time when you aren't swamped with textbooks on law.

"You know it's cringy, and I'm definitely not wearing it to work." A start of a back-and-forth that you know too well of, but would always win.

  "You drive taxis!"

  "I have nosy friends."

"Okay, well - how'd they know?"

"They notice everything." Ah, which each words of yours there is always a counter, but-

"Then.. if it's too obvious, wear my shirts!" You push a sweater into his hands, it's black and knitted in a way that Doki wouldn't usually wear, but he does own knitted sweaters and his clothes were usually dark.

"There's no way I'm getting out of this, is there?"

"Nope." The pop of your p is loud and proud, and as you bend to kiss him on his chapped lips, he pushes you away. You've been dating for a good chunk of a year, and while most are into doting, Doki is not. It only makes you try harder and love him more.

Because each of his rewards always have a sweeter taste. You pull him into your arms and cling onto the older man when he kisses you back a few seconds later. "Alright, stop it. I'm going to work." You stayed over at his house today, and it's always a hassle to sneak out.

  It's always worth it, though.

It's a subtle thing, really, when a guy with fluffy hair shows up, perfectly manicured nails and nice outfits with a messenger bag in tow. Goeun can see you with your favorite drink, sometimes cold, sometimes warm, sometimes another thing entirely.
