TW: Mental/Physical abuse, not being fed, selflessness to a dangerous degree
Pushing the protective Oner agenda that everyone seems to be on
Hurtfic
POV: 3rd Person
  Sanghyeok's heart aches.
It's always kind of like that these days ever since they got themselves a new manager. Just to oversee their things and schedules, but there's been.. some sort of power imbalance. Sanghyeok, theoretically, should be able to tell someone about what's been going on. Yet, he doesn't.
When it had started happening, he hadn't even realized. Too polite and kind to everyone around him to the point where he couldn't even figure it out. Too easy to be taken advantage of, so to say.
When his arm started to hurt and numb, he had gotten treatment. But during that time off, when his team weren't with him and just that person who is supposed to take care of him - it hurts.
When the man would grab him harshly and push him like a rag doll against the floor, pulling his arms and legs where he can't resist because he's too frail, it hurt. A slap to his face for being incompetent.
Sanghyeok knew that it wasn't his fault. After all, he's been in the industry for a while so it's obvious something would come up due to all the clicking. Yet those words had stabbed through him, like it was really his problem. That he's letting all his team down and when he's put on his knees, he's easily toppled over by a hard kick to the rib.
It was just that, at first.
Then soon, he started threatening Sanghyeok that if he doesn't obey him, he would hurt the others too.
As the oldest, he can't let that happen. Not to the team he now calls his kids. Not to the ones he's living with in his dorm. He couldn't let this happen to them.
  So he endures.
Even when they don't lose it seems like the man had just wanted to find a flaw and pick at him for it. He doesn't let Sanghyeok eat. Even when the player is malnourished and underweight. The manager would merely take the food from the chef, and toss it away once the chef's back had been turned.
  There's nothing he could do.
"You take food from your little friends and that'll be their last meals, too."
So tonight, when he gets a call, he leaves with Hyeonjun's big jacket over his body to block the wind from shaking his skin-and-bones body, it's almost midnight. He's back to where he wishes he wouldn't remember. It's dark here, blasting air con and making him shiver. He takes it again, and again. Where bruises wouldn't appear, where blood won't show when it leaves his side.
Perhaps it was a cry of help, tonight, when he purposely keeps the jacket on.
He curls up into it and takes the beating, compliant.
Sanghyeok makes it to the front of their dorm room. His legs shake when he crouches down, unable to hold onto the pain. He curls up in the corner, not being able to push himself up any longer to get inside.
He buries himself into the softness of Oner's uniform. Big letters wrapping around his body and it gives comfort.
The dam within his eyes break, and he sobs into himself, wiping his tears with blood-stained sleeves. He cries quietly as to not disturb his members. He can still hear them in there, talking even in the middle of the night.
"Has anyone seen Sanghyeok-Hyung? I wanna show him how the skin turned out on my pull." There's Wooje's voice, and the rest of everyone groans.
"Why would he need to see it? He already knows what it looks like!" Hyeonjun answers back, and without needing to see, he knows the male had pursed his lips and rolled his eyes at their youngest.
