POV: 3rd Person
With every thing Dohwa does for Suhae, she just seems to push him from herself. He'd done so much. He'd beat up Minu for talking about Suhae, and he tried to comfort her afterward, only for her to push him away.
But when Eunhyuk does it after Dohwa, she seems to love him even more.
------------------------------------
He made a song for her, 'Love Me Back'. He'd written it and it took a long time. It was a song from him to her, he knows she must love him back. And even if 'love' is a strong word for people their age, he knows it's destiny. He's okay settling with 'like' for now.
Tell me you feel the same.
He'd checked it over, his voice suits the song fine. But why, when he showed it to her, gifted it. His hard work, she smiled kindly at him and - pushes him away. Eunhyuk is his friend, but yet when they're side by side, the raven seems to just get more?
He's always been okay with being in the shadow, but not this way.
-----------
He'd made Suhae baked goods, though he isn't great at baking, he'd tried months and months, batter being spilled, wasted just so he could make the perfect little cookie. It was almost Valentines, and he'll give it to her, heart shaped freshly baked cookies.
"Suhae, I baked this for you. Happy Valentines."
She smiles, taking a bite, and he feels happy. Just momentarily before, she runs off to Eunhyuk and shares it with him. There's a pang in his chest whenever she goes near Eunhyuk and talks to him after completely ignoring his existence.
You should let her go.
She'll never love you back, anyway.
------------------------------------
There are countless times when he has done things for Suhae. But why does she never look at him? She's happily sitting next to Eunhyuk, chattering away at whatever, ignoring him and never sparing him a glance. He'd caught them on a date, at the Han River, walking on the side as he carried her on his back.
It's unfair. And sure, life is unfair. Was he just not good enough for Suhae? Was he just not handsome enough for the girl to love him back? Even when he'd tried to keep it in, he can't help but let his emotions run in his head, telling him that he is, in fact, not good enough.
He won her a teddy bear she wanted, she still never batted an eye his way. Will he ever be the star in her eyes? The highlight of her day, like Eunhyuk was? But she never looks. Was he unwanted? Undesirable in anyone's eyes at all? Was he only someone to look at, stare at, and observed just to be left alone?
And even as he confessed his feelings to her, she looks at Eunhyuk, and tells him: "Oh, Dohwa.. I'm sorry, but I'm already with Eunhyuk." He'd fixed himself somewhat to what Eunhyuk would be, and yet the one that he wanted to look his way won't look. He wants to be loved, that's all there ever was. He just wants her to look at him and at least consider him as a choice, but alas, that was only a dream.
He'd done it all.
For nothing.
Love me back.
