Gao Tu x Shen Wenlang: {Growing Pains} [F]

  Shen Wenlang always had to keep everything inside. It's not like he was the only one, but.. he was the only one out of everyone he knew to have never found a way to let go of things. Hua Yong, one of his only two friends, always had his sight on the love of his life. And now that he didn't have to bottle everything up, Wenlang could only be envious.

  The other friend, Gao Tu-.. wasn't even his friend anymore.

  In fact, Gao Tu, has never been seen again after that day at the restaurant.

  Wenlang doesn't want the baby aborted, of course he doesn't, because it was also his and Gao Tu's. But as Gao Ming set the price for abortion.. then it must've meant that Tu had wanted the baby aborted. And it hurt.

  He didn't want this to happen, after all, the Alpha had only recently learned that the affection he held toward his friend was rather more romantic than platonic. It was a different type of gentleness than what he shows Hua Yong. But how was he supposed to know it was romantic? People act differently to others, all the time.

  Yong was an Enigma, and he was capable by himself. Wenlang had thought since Gao Tu was a Beta with quite a pitiful situation (Gao Tu never deserves pity because he's better than scraping someone's floor), he had treated him kinder.

  Because truthfully, Tu had defended him from Omegas who probably had only meant harm for him. He's trusted Tu all this time, never doubted him and had handed himself over to the other man with such loyalty, that he was sure Tu did the same. But now - he had found out it wasn't the case. That between their long-time of friendship, Tu did not share with him his worries as he did unto the Omega.

  That he had been fooled into sharing all of his heart and soul into Gao Tu unwaveringly. All those late nights, he had stayed by Gao Tu's bedside to take care of what he thought at the time was a sick Beta. All those times they walked together down the street to the convenient store where Gao Tu worked, when Shen Wenlang would tell him all about his day even if Tu had been at his side to witness all of it, when Wenlang would pour out his thoughts about the stupid amount of homework that the Beta would always do with him in between customers.

  Shen Wenlang had shared almost everything with Gao Tu except the silent skipping of his heart in the middle of the night when he thought about what he should do for Qixi, or the Mid-Autumn Festivals with Gao Tu. His heart beat with excitement, even if he hadn't known why - always brushing it off to how he always looked forward to finally finding an excuse to give that poor boy something good.

  Did all those times Wenlang trusted him enough to show him his deepest, utmost personality - mean nothing? Albeit, what he had to say was always complaints, always clinging to the Beta's side and whined until he gave in. But he bought him birthday gifts, cakes, dragged him into each stall to let him try everything that he wouldn't be able to because of the ginormous hospital bills.

  Wenlang, unknowingly, despite building HS Group for himself to escape his toxic family, had built to for Gao Tu, too. The business being his meant he could have the excuse to be with Gao Tu, to give him as much as he needed, and provided him the money he would use to help Gao Qing. He just wanted to lighten the burden on Tu's shoulder.

  Did he actually add onto it instead?

  It was his fault that Tu had left, anyway. Wasn't it?

  Now, Shen Wenlang had been in an even worse state than pitiful. He drowned himself in alcohol and had sobbed into his blankets. He could remember the Sage that plagued his nose. The scent he hated so much out of disgusting jealousy because an 'Omega' got to Gao Tu first. Because he had thought he should be Tu's priority. Yet, he took the Omega's presence for granted. Even if they had been given 10 more years, Wenlang would still think he had taken Gao Tu for granted, because no time was ever enough.
