"We know it all by heart; the whole is greater than the sum of its parts."

In the aftermath of Theo's statement, I think I lose grasp on how much time goes by.

He's staring at us, and my heart slams furiously against my chest. I turn my gaze to Stiles, who doesn't look at me, but keeps his gaze straight ahead, eyes bearing into Theo's furiously as each person waits for the other to say something. Sparks fly out from the transformer, but I hardly pay attention to them now. The only thing I can focus on is how Theo knows about Donovan.

Oh, my God, Theo knows about Donovan.

"I know what happened to Donovan," Theo states finally, breaking the intense silence. "I know everything."

Without a second thought, Stiles all but flies from my side, toward Theo, his hands gripping the fabric of Theo's shirt. He pushes Theo back against the fence surrounding the transformer roughly. I step forward, making sure not to get too close, but wanting to hear the conversation.

"You don't know anything," Stiles bites out.

Theo switches their position, slamming Stiles into the fence. I flinch, watching as Theo's face clouds over in anger.

"I was there. I was at the library," he states. "Malia found the book. She was texting us to see if you'd gone home because she and Lydia left you at the library. I told her I was close. When I got there, I heard the scaffolding come down."

"You saw him?" Stiles asks.

"Just the body," Theo replies and he lets go of Stiles, and Stiles lets go of him. The two take a second to calm down, and I make my way over to Stiles. Theo looks between us, continuing, "I watched you come out. I was gonna say something, but then I saw the cop car. And the body was gone."

"You have no idea who took him, do you?" I ask.

"I don't know who took him," Theo replies. He looks over at Stiles. "I only saw what you saw, and I didn't say anything because you didn't."

I look over at Stiles, who's eyes connect with mine uneasily. I jump when I hear a siren starting to wail in the distance, getting closer with each passing second. Theo looks out over the top of the roof, then back at us.

"That's not an ambulance, is it?" he asks.

Stiles shakes his head, and I do the same, because it isn't, and there's a dead chimera on the roof.

That's not going to be suspicious or anything.

Stiles and I make our way over to the chimera as Theo says, "We should get out of here."

"We can't just leave him," I tell him, gesturing to the body.

Theo sets his jaw before sighing out, "Fine. All right, let's take him."
