Chapter 37 - Fourth
Jane's POV
There are only three words I could describe myself today.
LO-NE-LY.
Okay, it's one word but you get the picture. Why I'm lonely as fudge if you may ask? Well, Dylan is still not in school, Nick and I haven't spoken to each other for a month, well we broke up so yeah. He seems pretty happy without me in his life. But I still talk to his best friends.
When I want to hang out with Haley and my other new friends it's either they're busy or not in school. It feels like they're avoiding me or something. It doesn't matter, I can get through this. I always have.
It's lunch time and I'm sitting alone in the lunch table. Oh well, at least I could eat peacefully.
I was about to take a bite from my sandwich, a figure stood next to me, I look up to see the last person I want to see.
"Do you mind if I sit here? The cafeteria is full."
I wanted to say fuck off, but that would be rude of me. And I'm nice! And I have manners.
"Sure, no problem." I responded.
From my peripherals, I can see her preparing her lunch and set the tray aside for bigger space. I saw her crack a small smile, while I keep my attention to my sandwich, "So, how are you? Going through the break up thing?"
Seriously?
I banged my fists on the table, getting everyone's attention. "Goddamn it Cassidy is that why you sat here with me so you can talk shit about my break up with me and Nick?"
Her mouth hangs ajar about my sudden outburst. I notice Nick witnessing our little dilemma. Cassidy looks as if she's going to cry, oh please, save that self pity to the animal planet.
"It's okay to be rude with me, but that's not why I'm here. I just wanted to -"
"To what?" I snapped, "To rub it in my face and say I told you so? Well no need because I pretty much can see that."
She looked mortified about how I embarrassed her infront of almost everyone in the student body. Before she could answer, I took my stuff and went out of the cafeteria.
"Jane! Wait!" Cassidy called but I flipped her the bird.
I can still sense her following me, her clicking high heels made me tell. "Jane, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way!"
"You know what you're so bipolar. First thing you're mad at me now you're trying to be friends with me? What is this? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer kind of shit?"
"Jane, you don't know what you're talking about. I know you're hurt, but please listen to me."
"Why would I listen to someone who caused me detention, embarrassed me when I wanted to help you that night and a good liar?"
She shook her head, "I'm sorry." She whispered.
"I have no time for this." I walked out from her sight, and I decided to skip school today.
"Jane, we're both victims!"
I snorted, "Fuck off!"

DYLAN'S POV
I waited for my mother outside the doctor's clinic, we needed answers, treatments, cure... I waited patiently. Whatever happens, I will still accept it. I have no choice, because I'm in this for life.
