Chapter 7 – A Visit to Grandma’s
“Without you here, it feels incomplete Jane.” Ashley said while fixing her huge square reading glasses. Her shiny lips carved upside down which made me a bit sad. I miss them a lot. Being here again makes me feel like an alien, the fact that I already am an alien. Well, technically half.
As soon as I arrived, I immediately logged onto skype and facebook hoping my friends would be online and to my luck they still are, even though it’s two in the morning in the states, can’t blame them though it’s already summer.
“It’s also weird for me being here too, Ash.” I responded at the brunette. I caught Kate rolling her eyes, I looked at her blankly.
“Ugh, what’re you two lesbos? Just cut that I miss you crap we’ve got plenty of time for that, and just fucking tell us about your flight there and with you living next door with your nemesis.”

“Get out! Then? Oh my God woman! You saw him in his boxers! Is he hot? Well, obviously. Did you tell him you like him?” Ashley asked excitedly. I watch the two girls moving in my computer screen giddily. I rolled my eyes and chuckled at their reaction after I told them about my arrival and how I spent my morning at the park, and where an idiot named Nick decided to show up with his stupid long board.
“Did you climb through your window and went into his room? Then lick his abs?” I scrunched my nose at the blonde’s comment. Of us three she’s the most experienced and the most perverted one. “Guys calm down, I did none of those.” Watching the still screen with moving pictures, the girls rested their chins on their palms.
“Okay. Then enlighten us, what’d you skateboard lovers do?” The brunette with huge square reading eyeglasses resting on her nicely shaped nose asked, as she dip her chips with ketchup. Kate then tucked her arm under her pillow, waiting for my response.
“First of all we’re not lovers. And FYI, I’m the skate boarder, he’s the long boarder. There’s a freaking difference.”
Ashley rolled her eyes at me. “Deny all you want.”
I am not denying it. It’s true!
“Same horse crap.” Kate waved me off. She the second most impatient person in my life, but definetly my mom’s at the top list.
Sighing, I massaged the temple of my nose and responded, “He was showing off and I hated it. He’s still the jerk that I knew back then. He never changed.”
“Jane! C’mon darling! We’re off to Lola Carla’s!” My mom exclaimed from downstairs.
“Just a sec mom!” I called back, then turned back to the screen, “Hey, I gotta go. Talk to you guys soon again, okay?”
“Fine! You better update us.” Kate threw her hands in defense.
“Have fun!” Ashley added while she waved.
I smiled at them, “You too guys! Don’t get pregnant!” They gave me the finger which made me laugh and finally shut my laptop. I grabbed my grey hoodie and quickly tied my hair to high pony tail.
I jogged my way downstairs, I realized my parents are already in the car. The driver’s window rolled down as I slowly approached the vehicle.
“What took you so long?” Mom asked.
I was about to answer when I heard loud laughs, probably coming from Nick’s house. I jerked my head to where the noise was, and heck I was right. Three boys came out from the Anderson’s. I instantly noticed Nick’s smile, it made my stomach tickle weirdly. I felt my cheeks heating up, I immediately put on my bitchy look. “It’s her!” Another deep voice echoed. I realized it was Chase’s. I noticed Zac trailing behind them, his eyes widened and were on mine. He kept his gaze at me as he continued to walk and ended up bumping Chase. I smirked at them and took a deep breath before I opened the door at the backseat of the car.
