Chapter 3 - Unexpected Surprise

As soon as I got inside the house, my entire being jumped seeing my parents standing in front of me smiling excitedly. I grimaced because of the way they looked at me.

"Umm, should I ask what's going on?" The couple exchanged looks in excitement which is really scary to watch.

"We'll tell you after you change." My mom lilted.

"Okay..." I replied awkwardly, I ascended to the stairs then head to my room. I was still staring at them in horror, and they still gave me creepy looks.

As soon as I threw my bag to the bed, I immediately changed to my shorts and my favorite oversized tee and sprinted my way back to the living.

My parents were whispering at each other; when my dad found me standing by the staircase he told mom that I was there already. And then they gave me another creepy-excited looking shot.

They both grabbed my hands and led me to the stool while they sat on the sofa.

And to think I have normal parents.

Their annoying looks seriously made me anxious since I entered the house. "Can anyone please tell me what's going on and why you look as if you have done something bad for the first time of your lives?"

My mom was first to spoke. "I..." she glanced at my dad, I rolled my eyes, "I mean We have an amazing news!" Oh, boy I think I know where this is going.

"Your mother and I decided that, we, as a family, would spend our summer somewhere else, rather than here."

Oh I thought they're going to tell me that we'll be going to another family neighborhood party thingy. But I honestly do love travelling to different places. This made me excited! "Really?!"

"Yes!" They shouted in sync. Though I had a strange feeling in my stomach that this isn't good. But I think I should go with the flow to know as to where we would go. And now I had to cancel my plans with the girls.

And speaking of them, they shall taste my wrath as to why they left me alone in the restroom at school earlier. Okay not exactly wrath, coz I've never been super mad at anyone in my entire life.

"Take a wild guess baby." My daddy said.

"Oh! Oh! Are we going to the city of Love?" Paris is actually the most favorite place that I wanted to go.

They shake their heads. Dang it! I wanted to go there.

"I know!!" I snapped my fingers twice with a bright idea popping in my mind. "We're going to see The Ruins!"

"Nuh-uh..." my mom said in a sing song voice.

"Give her a clue honey." My dad suggested.

"Okay fine. It's not in Europe sweetie. It's in Asia."

Dang it again.

My mother screeched and said, "Oh honey! I can't hold it in!" I've never seen my mother so excited unless we go the Philippines. Wait...

"Honey, just give her a chance to guess." My dad said.

"Don't tell me..." Oh no. I mentally groaned. They're about to tell me. My heart started to race like crazy, my palms started to get sweaty.

"We're going to the Philippines!" My heart suddenly stopped. And then everything suddenly became a blur. I see darkness.

"I think she's excited." My dad's voice echoed in my head and I finally hear nothing.
