Chapter 10 – Why Is The World So Cruel? Okay, Maybe Not Really.
“WHAT! Right now I want to shoot you in the face.” That was the first thing Kate said after I told them about how Dylan asked me personally via phone to go out with him.
“Kate.” I warned.
She threw her hands in defense, “Okay, sorry woman. But seriously though. You’re going on an actual date with Dylan! That’s great news!”
Shrugging, unsure of what I should say, “Yeah... you could say that.” I was actually pretty excited with our date but something just really makes me want to throw up.
Maybe I’m nervous? Maybe because of the fact that Dylan’s smexy in so different levels? I really don’t know what makes me feel sick. If only Nick asked me out I wouldn’t– Woah there! Why think of Nick when you’re going on a date with Dylan? I’m such an idiot. I should be focusing with Dylan right now not Nick.
“Does that mean, you’ve moved on already?” The brunette inquired. I wanted to say YES Ashley but sadly I couldn’t.
“Yeah... you could say that.” I repeated.
The brunette straightened her posture and intwine her hands together, as she rested her chin on the back of her hands, and finishes it with a signature smirk. “Uh-oh, Kate.” she glanced at the blonde who was wearing the same expression as her.
“Yes, Ash?”
“I think someone’s doubting.”
“Am not!” I protested. I’m not even sure if I’m doubting about this whole date dilemma. “I’m just– nervous.” I answered her as calm as possible.
“Don’t be!” Ashley exclaimed in frustration.
“Yeah, don’t be. It’s just a friendly date. If it goes wrong, you could just laugh about it.” Kate seconded.

“I can’t believe everything went wrong.” I stared at the screen blankly. Why is the world so cruel? Why can’t I have a normal date night?
“Did you laugh about it?” Kate asked. I glared at her on that stupid question. “What?”
“It’s not that bad.” Ashley forced a smile on her face. I looked at her disbelievingly.
“Not that bad? My meatball flew to his shirt.”
“Well...”
“I happen to spill his drink to his trousers,” And I almost burned our table at the restaurant. Was I really a bad luck? “Then, when we both started kissing, I clumsily trip because my foot got stuck in a freakin’ tube! And I had no idea there was a freakin’ tube in there!”
“You know, you we’re trying to imitate Princess Mia on the Princess Diaries doing that, and you even failed trying.”
“Ugh! That’s not the point! The point is, everytime I wanna do things the right way, it ends up so fucking wrong.”
“Calm your tits down, Jane. If you think of it thoroughly, haven’t you noticed that fate wants you to be with Nick instead of Dylan?”
“Haven’t you noticed what happened to our date?” Their faces grimaced. “Exactly. Why are you rooting for me and Nick anyway?”
“So that I can be with Dylan.”
“Kate!” Ashley exclaimed.
“Just kidding. It’s just that you two look cute together, you and Nick.”
