Chapter 20 – Backyard Party

Today’s the last day I’ll be staying in Negros Oriental, because tomorrow, we’re off to Cebu City then to Manila. Then to the States. Such short tiring flights. So I decided to make my weekend awesometastic. I called up the Andrews’ and my relatives so we can have the last bond for this summer.

I’m kind of upset for leaving. I only wish I had another week to spend with them, but school is starting soon, so we have to. Also leaving the new friends I made before I could even get to know them more is saddening. I have gotten really close with Dylan and my cousins. And I also got to know Chase the loading light bulb and Zac the fantastic cook, of course I had to invite them, they’re so fun to be with. And I got the chance to be with Nick the jerk of a Bad boy with a face of a Greek God, and also got a chance to punch his face. Believe it or not, I’m a bit relieved for doing that, but he’ll forever be a jerk. Anyway, I also have friends back in Jersey, Kate and Ashley. They’re like my first best friends ever! And we’re about to celebrate our one year anniversary as BFFs.

I threw myself off from bed lazily and went to the bathroom for a shower to get ready for our little gathering later. And of course, the Andersons will be here, all thanks to my mom.

I checked the running water if it was freezing but since the afternoon’s freaking hot as usual, I didn’t mind the cold water. I stripped off from my clothes and threw them on my dirty laundry basket in my bathroom and started showering.

I pushed away my recent thoughts to make me stop thinking about what happened to me and Nick yesterday, right now I just have to calm myself. My parents weren’t mad at me when I got home pretty late. It’s because I was out with my mom’s new bff’s son. When I got home yesterday, Mr. & Mrs. Anderson were in our territory. The two pairs were having a little party, which includes karaoke. Oh God, parents and karaoke. As soon as Nick and I stepped inside, they were happy to see us and completely forgot we were born. Seriously, what kind of parents are they of forgetting about their only child? But of course, let us not forget of Jannette asking about Nick’s black eye. I thought Nick was going to tell the truth but instead he told them he ran into a pole, well they believed him anyway, because according to his mom, he always ran into a pole. Or a fight, I thought.

Anyway, Nick and I haven’t spoken any word since yesterday. I wasn’t in the mood to talk to him, and I don’t like talking to him anymore.

Are you sureeee? Shut up mind.

As soon as I have finished my thing in the bathroom, I stripped in my undergarments, floral skirt, white sleeveless top. I also put on my vans shoes and put on my dirty gold long necklace with a flower as a pendant on it. I blow dried my hair and decided to iron my hair in place.

Taking a look at my reflection and feel satisfied. I took a shot at my whole outfit and sent it to my friends. Afterwards I jogged my way downstairs, and couldn’t help but take a whiff at the aroma of my babe—food.
