Chapter 2 - Chocolate Icecream

Last period of class! And I'm so excited for it to end and hello summer! Talk about how time flies fast. I wonder where my family and I are going to spend my first summer here in USA.

As I walk in the hallway of school, the crowd slowly disappears all busy and excited at the same time of ending this wonderful year. I walk faster trying not to be late on the last period and the last day of school.

“Jane!” I looked over to my shoulder only to see Xavier Chad waving as he jogged towards me. He's the school's most popular guy. Captain of the football team. His amazing blonde hair looked so amazing with his gorgeous blue eyes. But I still don't see why I'm not attracted to him. He's not a jerk, he's actually nice, in fact he's friends with almost everyone.

“Hey.” I greeted back.

“C'mon, let's walk to class together.” He puts in his hopeful smile hoping I would say yes. I sighed in defeat and nodded.

“Sure. Let's hurry though.”

“Alright! I mean—” he cleared his throat and fixed himself, “I mean, cool.”

He slowly took my hand, which I slowly pull back. He stopped and looked at me confused.

"What?" I inquired.

"Why can't I hold your hand?"

"Uhh, because we're not a thing?" I lilted almost like a question. He was about to say something but I quickly added, "Look, I don't want to be late for class okay?"

"Why won't you give me a chance, Jane?"

"Are we gonna talk about this now?"

"Jane please."

"Xavier, if you're not going to class, then don't drag me with you, not only am I excited about summer—" Xavier was now slowly walking towards me, my heart accelerated, what the hell is he doing? I slowly backed away, but my back was now pressed on the lockers. His hands were gripping mine, is he gonna kiss me here? Or worse, rape me on school property?

"I want you." He started kissing my neck and I did not like it one bit! He lets go and whispered in such a maniac manner “Jane, be mine. And I'll show you what you're missing.” he kissed me back as I struggle against his grip. What a jerk! And due to instincts, I kicked his nuts and gave him a knuckle sandwich.

He groaned in pain, as he slowly curled up to a ball.

"What the fuck dude!" I looked at him disbelievingly.

"Jane, I'm sorry. I like you! So much!"

I was about to argue but Ms. Adams saw us, "What are you two still doing in here? Go to class!" Without anymore ado, I sprinted my way to History class leaving that weirdo behind.

"And Mr. Chad, stand up! I don't want..." Ms. Adams' voice slowly faded as I got afar.

I stand corrected, he is a jerk. No wonder I don't like him. Barging into our History Class panting, Mr. Riley stopped his lecture and looked at me irritated. "Ms. Edwards, you chose to be late on the last day of school, and in my class."

"Actually I-"

"No more explanations go to your seat."

Great! I got in trouble for the first time of my life. Walking towards my seat, Kate's stare was always on me with a questionable look.

I finally settled down and sighed heavily.

"Where the hell have you been? I texted you!" Kate started to whisper.
