Chapter 8 – Remind Me Not to Bring a Dog Again
It has been almost two weeks since I got here. My parents and I managed to go to different places in Negros Oriental in just a week! Talk about wasting money.
So I told them that we should take a break from all of that and stay at home instead. They planned on going to Bahura Beach Resort but I told them to do it next time. The couple seemed to agree and went upstairs and sleep instead.
I had been talking to Ashley, Kate and Dylan occassionally online to update them about here and send them some photos.
Since wednesday, I didn’t catch Dylan online, maybe he’s busy spending his summer awesomely? But I got worried because it had been three days since he was online. And it had been three days since Nick bugged me with the whole shuttlecock thing.
I was at our porch grooming Pochie. I finished bathing her, right now I was brushing her golden yellow hair. I also took out my phone and snap some photos of us.
“Arf! Arf!” Pochie barked while her attention was at the gate, her tail is waggling as well. I stood up and straightened my shirt, walking towards the gate to check if someone’s there but no one. Tiptoeing to see if someone was outside but again, no one. Instead, I saw a shuttlecock again. I rubbed my temple with my index finger and thumb. Taking a deep breath, my soul nearly jumped when I noticed Nick leaning his body at our rusty old gate. He was free from sweat though he had his sports suit on.
“Jane. Can I please have my cock back?” he asked in his hushed sexy voice. Is he trying to catch my attention? Is he flirting with me? Calm down Jane, isn’t it obvious to you yet? Of course his flirting, why else would he make up such reason about his freaking shuttlecock? My heart beat accelerated though I kept a strong face.
“You want this?” he nodded and smiled at me. Somehow I find myself hardly breathing, but still I kept my mean face.
“Who are you playing with this time, Nick?” he scratched his head nervously, looking behind him. He lets out a sexy chuckle. Damn this guy’s hard to resist, but I have to and I must.
“Uhh, it’s just me. I’m planning on trying out for the next school year.” Same reason as the last time.
“Uh-huh, really?” I inquired sarcastically.
His eyes were fixated to mine. I was lost in his beautiful green that were almost blue. “Y-yes.” he finally answered which made me snap out.
I snorted turning about, holding the shuttlecock to my shoulder level and started to walk back to the house, “Nice try Nick.”
I heard something drop, I stopped my tracks and clench my fists. He’s never gonna give up is he?
“Jane! My racket, can I have it back too?” Ignoring him, I took his racket as well. Seriously? A racket? That’s new, but I still wouldn’t let that fool me.

It’s already four o’clock in the afternoon, I took Pochie out for a walk. I was on my board, letting my dog pulling me to anywhere she wants to be.
The park was big enough to stroll around. It was filled with different people playing frisbee, dating, feeding some stray animals... but one thing that I remembered is Dylan. I wonder how his doing? I hope he’s okay. I miss that dirty blonde.
Pochie started to bark again snapping me out of my thoughts, “Pochie! Bad girl! Bad! Sit!” but she didn’t listen, “Pochie,” I warned, she managed to stay put though she drooling. Ew. Sighing I crouched a little to pat on her head.
She started to bark again, “Pochie–!”
Pochie swiftly ran pulling me with her. I was on my board covering my eyes trying to pull back my dog who was now bumping at anyone. I excused myself while I screamed in fear.
I attempted to cover my eyes, dumbass! Don’t cover your eyes! Manipulate your dog! It’s a dog! My conscience started to yell at me. I slowly opened them, widened in shock and fear mixed together. “Not again.” I muttered, I was so close to bumping to someone again.
“Dude, look out!” he was about to turn but my body already crashed to his. I immediately stood up and dusted myself. The poor guy was still on the ground, bitting my lower lip out of guilt, I helped the dude stand.
“Oh my God! I’m so sorry it’s my dog and–” when the dude turned around, I sensed familiarity. Dirty blond tall hot guy, with fierce golden eyes, and a smile that’ll keep replaying in your head over and over.
“Dylan?”
