Chapter 11 – Some Luck

The sky grew darker than it was earlier, I couldn’t sleep. It’s already 11:03pm and still no Dylan. I asked him to buy me food. He told me that he’ll be here after 10 minutes but he didn’t show up. He didn’t even beep me. I sighed as I turned to the other side of my bed hugging my soft pillow.

Bleep!

Finally! About time. I mentally praised. I saw Dylan’s message my lips carved up but it slowly fade upon reading his message.

I left the food in your front door. Sorry, I’m in a hurry. I have something important to do. See you tomorrow! ;) xx

Ughh seriously? You have something important to do almost in the middle of the night? “Wow Dylan, I’m not buying it.” I muttered. I slipped into my fluffy slippers and cautiously went downstairs, trying not to wake anyone up.

As soon as I reached the front door, I took a peek outside from the glass window, just to make sure no one, or he won’t scare the hell out of me. I slowly opened the door, and saw two huge paper bags sitting on our doormat, with an M on it. The night breeze was chilly. I hurriedly took the bags and went to the kitchen. I flicked on the lights and grabbed a stool.

I transferred the fries to a huge bowl. I took two each and shove it to my mouth. Dylan’s trying to make me fat... again. Realizing that the fries are already cold. Probably because it’s cold outside. I continued to eat more, until I got stuffed. A few seconds later, my eyelids began to feel heavy. Gosh, I’m still such a pig.

I stood up and pushed the stool then cleaned up the mess and headed back upstairs.

I was about to turn the knob until I heard a deep voice spoke, which made me shriek.

“Jane?”

“Jesus, dad. You scared the heck out of me. What are you doing up in the middle of the night?”

“Pumpkin, I should be asking you that, but to answer your question, to pee.” I noticed him rubbing his legs simultaneously while both of his hands are on his... never mind. Trying to hold, whatever his feeling is, in. I bit my lower lip, preventing myself to laugh. I quickly composed myself.

“Why? You have your own bathroom.”

“Your mom’s still in there. I think she fell asleep, pooping.” I scrunched my nose, he gave me the I-know-right kind of look.

“Okay, that was disturbing and to answer your question dad, I was eating.”

“Ohh okay. Anyway, I really need to go. I can’t hold it in anymore.” he sprinted silently down and I went in to my room and get some shut eye.

**

The moment I flickered my eyes open, I stretched my arms and legs and rolled to the other side of my bed. I noticed it’s still 6:45 a.m.

I wasn’t used getting up this early in the states but, this has been my routine since I got here. I like to skate around seven a.m., the morning breeze is fresh, and Rizal Park is definetly breathtaking. It makes me calm and reminds me what I have been missing all these times.

I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and changed to my white leggings and sky blue crop top with the words: awesoME ends with ME; Ugly starts with U, which revealed some of my curves and belly button. I then tied my hair to a bun then put on my protection wear and grabbed my board.

As I jogged downstairs, a familiar scent wafted into my nose which made me hault. Today we’re having hotdogs and waffles.

“Morning sweetheart.” My mom greeted as I took a chair across dad.
