Fall...

In the fall season of the heart, love takes flight,
Leaves of passion, painted with hues so bright.
Once-blooming romance now begins to fade,
As emotions wither, like a serenade.

The crisp air carries whispers of yearning’s end,
Hearts left bare, like trees that lost their leaves, my friend.
The summer’s warmth now turns cold and cruel,
Love’s flame dwindles, becoming a mere fuel.

With each falling leaf, memories drift away,
Fading echoes of laughter lost in disarray.
Aching hearts flutter like birds in migration,
Seeking solace in the arms of resignation.

Autumnal love, once vibrant and grand,
Now captivated by the grip of desolation’s hand.
Like the leaves, we let go but never forget,
The sweetness of love, we’ll always look back and regret.

Yet, in the fall season of the heart’s demise,
A chance for rebirth, a flicker of sunrise.
For as seasons change, so too does love evolve,
From fiery passion to a wiser resolve.

So let the fall season of the heart be a guide,
To shed the old and let new love reside.
Embrace the beauty of change, as seasons portray,
For even in the fall, love will find its own way.
