Wrecked by her Endless Choices !
She dwells
in a dwindling reality
armed with a list of
high expectations
that impose limitations
on attainable escapes.
These permanent scars
are vascular adhesions
difficult to remove
as they both repel and
magnify the darkness.
Faced with avoiding
the tripwires of living,
given no space to change,
she leaves behind
the slippery wreckage
of an endless
string of choices.
She adapts by hiding
in memories of
selfish explorations,
digging deeper holes
through the center
of her core, filling them
with expectations
and perceptions
in the chosen role.
Unshuttered love
begins anew
with a pattern of
appeasement
coupled with
debasement
and the promise
is fulfilled.
