Seduction
take cover,
insurgent inmates running the asylum
and the digital world's on fire
let's unwrap the simple joys -
serenity
amidst the deafening noise
with dangling trees caressing crisp autumn air
do you ever wonder how the stars still flicker at night
do you watch as the night hawk takes flight
can we fall in love
with the beauty of a firefly?
do the willows sway in the gentle breeze
am I just another lost tumbleweed
trying to find a perch
and listen to the music play
as the world's gone mad
and we seduce the moon and the stars
to come
run away?
and if mountains crumble
like a heartbeat spoken
can a stone cold world
be seduced
to mend the pieces
that remain broken?
