Scars!
Aren't they like badges?
Badges that we all wear and show with pride from time to time.
I have them, you have them, we all have them.
These scars are not just signs of past hurts, failures, and challenges; they are more than that -
they are beautiful,
they are attractive,
they are what makes you uniquely you, and makes me uniquely me -
without these scars,
we wouldn't have anything special in life that makes us stand out of the crowd.
"Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars,"
- Kahlil Gibran.
It isn't to say that one must endure pain and suffering to become a great person.
Rather, it is to acknowledge that when we encounter hardships, they shape us,
refine us, and
add depth to our character.
