The Unspoken language of NatureI believe these mountains
used to be under the sea,
my mother said.I looked up
and up
and up
to the sky, to where
the ocean used to be.I was breathless as my mind wandered
through time, to when the world was
beneath the water.I held the vision of the dark
and silent depths
to the soft ruffles of the meadow
and the sunlight on the weeds.I held the weight of my own existence
against the colors refracted
from a single invisible thread
of a spider's web.Who has the time nowadays
to think about such important things as this?I urge you to be still, and listen
to the language of no words
that all of us know within. That speak of dreams, of suffering,
of soul, of wonder,
that each of us hold,
to build a bridge to each other.---------------
Inspired by a recent summer evening walk down the street
Thank you ♥️
