It is Winter Again
The Time for Undoing and Rebuilding
And the dread of losing YOU--
Settled.

Losing your Loving arms around me,
Drifting to abyss--
Discarded and unworthy
Of any effection;
Who would Love me?
Cherish ?
Scold ?
Treat me as Equal?
Yet
Would care to reach out,
No matter what assertion--
the World holds against my Expression ...

You are my Elixir ;
Unfortunately YOU never knew.

It is me who failed
To make you see...
You are the only one to fill me.

The void in my heart longed for benevolence ,
And
You gave all of your empathy.

My Soul enchanted and thrilled;
Intoned your name like a Diamond lost in Peril.

In wonderful contented Exultation ;
My heart Overflowed ,
Yet
Aching all over , from the care it received !

Nobody has waited to notice the tears,
But you were right here--
To embrace me and carress my deep rooted fears... !
