THE CHIRPING of crickets from the surrounding forest amplified the absolute solitude brought by the Sunset Mansion. Resting my arms over the glass railings lining the second floor's hallway, a truly majestic view was laid before my eyes.

If the villa's face was adorned with arches and elegant columns, stepping inside revealed to me that it was a recurring theme for the whole area.

When we first arrived, we were met by the spacious living room, furnished with modern but classical pieces that complemented the room's architecture—which, in particular, was chef's kiss. A small fireplace anchored the east side  while a giant crystalline chandelier hung from the soaring high ceiling, casting a warm glow to the delicate atmosphere. The dining room and kitchen can be accessed through an arched doorway on the right side.

A grand staircase on the left swept up to the second floor where most of the rooms were located. This place seemed to be designed not just as a family house, but as a commercial villa, too. There were ten rooms in total just on the second floor, eight of which were the ones alloted for us to sleep in.

Two people occupied each room at most, and if I remembered correctly, JC and Xyrus shared the farthest room, right by another staircase stitching the three floors together. The pairs were Jade and Denise, Kold and Icarus, Dwight and Jasper, Chantal and I, Yehanna and Alyanna, and finally, Avery and Zion. Yulio had his own room which was the largest, seeing that this is their own property.

The third floor cemented the luxurious status of this place: it housed a game room, a home theater, a gym, a library, a playground for kids, and a room for arts and crafts. Each room was equipped with a spacious area and complete equipments, making this a perfect place to relax and have some fun.

"Enjoying the stay, Ma'am?"

Another pair of arms rested over the glass railings and there was Chantal, smiling at me sheepishly with a white towel wrapped around her head.

"Absolutely. Can you grab me a bottle of wine, please? Thank you," I jested. Napairap naman siya at parehas kaming napahagikhik saka bumalik ang tingin sa atrium ng lugar.

The most striking feature here was villa's atrium, a breathtaking open space in the middle of the U-shaped building layout. In the center was a couple of topiary plants that form a shape of sun with seven rays when viewed from above, surrounded by colorful flowers. Two water features completed the sight—a small fishpond on the side nearer to the living room which was separated by a sliding glass door, and a rectangular pool with a fountain on the back end. There was even a mini bar a few meters from the poolside, connected to the kitchen.

"Girl, masyado ka nang nag-e-enjoy na alilain kami, ha. Remember that we are not paid unlike you kaya we can quit anytime," Chantal retorted.

"Pinagsisisihan mo na bang sumama ka?" I asked. She immediately shook her head.
