"You definitely lost your mind. I'm sure of it." Gabriel said without even sparing a glance to Bright.

The first half of the day was given to the music club for exception at Lilac's request. Allowing her team the time they need to practice for their next performance.

Since Bright could not come to join them, Gabriel volunteered to help him out. After all, he can't be around others who are not aware nor ready for his situation.

Gabriel sat on the couch while arranging the music sheets he brought. Bright on the other hand who's now in a better condition compared to the previous night currently sits on a chair in front of Gabriel's keyboard, practicing a set on it.

"I mean if you're gonna sleep with her, you could've at least topped!" Gabriel added.

"That's what you're worried about?" Bright chuckled.

"I'm not worried. I'm pissed! I mean I can't even look at you because her mark is all over your neck! What the fu** is she?! A mosquito?!" The nomad exclaimed with frustration and Bright only laughed in response.

"I thought you were acting like this because she's a wolf." He chuckled and Gabriel finally looked at him with his brows furrowed.

"That too! I don't know what's gotten into you, Bright! I thought you'd know better." The nomad said with a sigh and Bright couldn't help but frown at his statement.

"Why do you hold so much anger towards them? I understand that a lot of wolves are mean to you. But Shadow isn't like them." He said and Gabriel stared at him for a while. Thinking.

"I hope so. I'm not trying to offend you. I just don't want you to be in trouble, Bright."

"I won't be. Shadow is different. I can never compare her to anyone."

Gabriel chuckled seeing the look on the vampire's face. His smile looks so lovesick that he can imagine himself hitting a pan on his face.

"You obviously fell for her. I guess your detention did something to both of you." He said laughing lightly as he focused back on arranging the music sheets.

"But I'm still not happy with you being a bottom!" He added that made Bright laugh again.

"Do you think Elijah's gonna be mad for a while? I think he's avoiding me."

"Elijah's only worried about you. Just like the rest of us in this dorm. You do know he and Shadow have a past, right?" He asked and Bright only nods.

He's heard of it before. Some other students talk about it whenever they spot Elijah and Shadow talking.

"He just doesn't want you to end up like him."

"I know. But things are different between us. Very different " Bright mumbled as his thoughts drove back to how their conversation flowed last night.

He could feel it deeply in his heart. That Shadow may have already figured him out. Because she won't find any reasons for him to leave unless she thinks that he is who everyone's been training to hunt for years.

"That's true. You're a vampire. And society isn't really open to that idea right now. It's gonna be a tougher road for you considering how we're like the vermins among everyone."

"I gotta be honest. I was a little disappointed when you didn't make it as an apprentice." Olivia said as she sat on her chair. Leaning her back on it without removing her piercing gaze at the wolf.
