Worlds Away

"I messed up!" It was the first thing Shadow said. And she sounded really anxious and frantic.

"And before you get angry! Let me talk first!"

"I seriously messed up and I don't really know what to do! I'm fu**ed and scared and I am legit panicking right now!!!" Shadow suddenly started rambling and she really sounded scared.

"Just calm down! Tell me what happened!" Elijah calmly said to her.

"Okay!"

"So I want to reiterate first! I promise I tried! I tried to push him away!"

"But da*n he's so fu**ing stubborn and I couldn't help it!"

"So sh*t happened! I suddenly went into rut and fu**!!!!"

Elijah had to pull away the phone from his ear because it was on a loud speaker and Shadow was literally screaming like a boom box.

"I fu**ed Bright!" Shadow said it with a laugh that made her sound manic.

As soon as the four heard it. They had an equal reaction.

"And I didn't just have sex with him! I also marked him! Ahahahah!"

"I don't know what came into my mind! I think I just killed---"

"Are you for fu**ing real!!!?"

The other three suddenly flinched when Elijah bellowed on his own phone. His expressions were suddenly outraged while glaring at his phone as if he was gonna murder it.

"You can get mad at me later! I know I messed up but I don't know what to do!"

"I woke up and Bright was wheezing! He kept saying he's fine but I know he's not! I can feel that he's definitely and obviously not okay!"

"And he's burning up!"

"You're such an idiot Shadow! Where the hell are you two right now! We're going there this instant!" Elijah said as he walked out of the dorm and unconsciously pushed Emily out of the way.

Gabriel immediately caught her to make sure she won't slam herself to the door knowing Elijah's pretty strong too.

They decided to follow the furious alpha and sneaked out of the building.

Elijah wouldn't stop scolding Shadow during the call. He was more angry when she told them their location. Which is the woods where most of the elders in Shadow's family would hunt.

"It's so dark! How the hell can y'all manage to see here?!" Nicholas muttered as he gripped tightly on Elijah's arms.

He was pretty chill earlier but now he's scared because it was pitch black in the forest and all he could see was their pair of glowing eyes which looked literally creepy.

"Just hop on my back!" Elijah said. Nicholas didn't even reply yet and the alpha already grabbed him and carried him on his back.

"Sorry."

"It's fine."

The group continued walking until they reached the end of the hill. They exchanged looks at each other before they all jumped. Nicholas didn't know they would jump so he screamed thinking Elijah slipped and fell.

"Elijah?"

Shadow's voice rings into their ears. Soon enough, they saw the alpha walking from behind a tall tree.
