"What did they make you do?" Gabriel asked with a genuinely worried tone.
Emily felt like her walls were being kicked down. Gabriel could definitely sense something is wrong with her and no matter how much she tries to hide it, he can see through her.
"Did they try to command you?" He asked again and Emily looked at him with shaky eyes.
"What do you think. They want Shadow and I'm the closest friend she has. They want me to bring her to them and tell them everything I know about her." Emily began to explain in a small voice that eventually began to break.
"I didn't want to say anything that could hurt Shadow. So I refused their command, but it hurts. If I wasn't born to a pureblood family, it could've gone worse for me." She cried and Gabriel suddenly felt angry as he watched her.
The sounds of her cries were like arrows of truth that are being thrown at him.
That if vampires have it bad with wolves. Omegas aren't much different. They were always deemed to be the weakest in the hierarchy and treated no less for breeding.
A lot of news had gone around of male and female omegas being reported missing. Trafficked and killed after being raped.
Emily is probably the only lucky omega, born as the only omega to Tills family and protected by a strong pack.
But it's not always perfect for her knowing what role she needs to play. And the image it brings to other omegas who aren't as fortunate as they think she is.
"You're okay now." Gabriel said to her with a quiet voice.
He has no ability to release any pheromones to help her calm down.
So he decided to just wrap the girl to his embrace as she cried. Her voice muffled into his chest and taking out all the fear she had endured just to get away from the other alphas.
"You're safe with me."
"Shadow!" Bright called as he continued walking in the forest.
She knows that she's somewhere in there. Just hiding and waiting for him to find her.
The vampire jumped down the hill and walked around the woods where they last went to hunt. When he made it in front of the pond, he stopped hearing the quiet movements behind him.
He immediately recognized Shadow's strong scent. And when he turned around, the alpha popped out of the darkness and crashed their lips together.
It was rough and fast, as if Shadow had not seen him for a long time. She dragged him away from the pond and pinned him to the nearby tree. Deepening the kiss even more while her hands began to explore his body.
Their kiss went on for a few minutes until Shadow stopped and buried her face on Bright's neck, basking on his now strong scent that surrounds them. But it didn't take long for Shadow to finally break into tears.
"Just let it all out." Bright whispered to her while stroking her back.
Shadow just cried on his chest for a few minutes before finally facing him.
"Bright. I have something to tell you." She said while looking up to him with her tear-stained eyes. "But promise me first that you won't leave me."
The vampire smiled at her and caressed her cheeks. Staring back into her grey orbs.
"You're my mate. Where else could I possibly go?" He said to her hoping it would comfort her.
"But if you learn what I know, would you still stay with me?"
